he's a hell of a lot better than gillespie. UF was shit in basketball before he got there.

Yea, Gillespie was an impulse hire the same way Jurich at U of L hired Krapthorpe after Petrino.

Donovan is a huge improvement

I guess it's just me, but Kentucky just doesn't have that name recognition for me. Will Donovan really getter better players at UK over Florida? Right now Florida and UK are at about the same level, and I'd rather be in Florida.

LOL. Kentucky has name recognition in hoops. A hell of a lot more than UF does. Sure right now UF and UK are on the same level, but that won't be for long. Kentucky will get back on track I'm sure.

Kentucky is a college basketball state, always has been, always will be. There is no market for anything else, especially in its biggest cities, Louisville, Lexington and Bowling Green. Football has always been garbage with the exception of Petrino's tenure, where Im sure they will turn over some rocks somewhere down the line showing he cheated. He's a snake. SUUUUUUUEEEEYYYYYY!!!

And it seems it won't be Florida coach Billy Donovan who replaces him.

"In response to the rumors circulating about my interest in other jobs, I wanted to address this as quickly as possible," he said in a statement. "I am committed to the University of Florida and look forward to continuing to build our program here."

Glad to see Donovan sticking at Florida, he could really become that one coach at Florida where every basketball fan worships him. With Kenny Boynton coming in they could really make some noise next year.

But if I am Kentucky I go after Pitino (although its unlikely he leaves), but if not go after an alum.
