Edit: I see Koscheck on the card twice. Not sure how the number one contender WW fight is gonna work.

If I'm not too tired tonight we can squeeze the fights in. But I'll likely be watching a couple TV shows with my girl and hitting the sack afterwards, I've been sleepy as hell since 5pm. If we don't do it tonight I'll most likely be on tomorrow night or the night after, and worse comes to worse we can definitely get it done on Saturday but I'm sure we'll do it long before then. A spectator mode would put this game on another level. Spectator mode should be a norm by now in these kind of games. I am surprised Fight Night Round 4 didn't have this. Sometimes just sitting and watching two dudes beat the shit out of each other is fun.

Tyson Griffin defeats Spencer Fisher by Armbar at 4:39 of Round 2.
Both fighters displayed an excellent ground game with many blocked transitions and reversals. I (Griffin) was fortunate enough to gain a few mounts and lay in some good shots early in the first round. I eventually gained a mount in the second round and was able to block a few transitions before going for an armbar when Fisher was completely gassed. Great fight!

Justin McCully (now 3-0) defeats Antoni Hardonk via flying armbar in the 3rd round. New HW champ, baby! It was a good fight. I was pretty nervous in the first round since Hardonk has some nasty kicks and good overall stand-up. I wanted no parts of that outside of sticking a few body shots in here and there. In the third I was able to wear him out on the ground until he kicked me off, but his stamina was low enough that I had a small window for a sub.
I'll probably get smoked next week by Nog, so I'm going to enjoy this while I can.

Damn Submission! No, good fight
Frank Mir(D0S3) defeats Gabriel Gonzaga(Jazz Trance) via 1st Round TKO
Round 1: Round starts and Mir goes for the takedown. Mir works to mount, using a reversal and timing transitions. Mir does not relinquish mount and pummels Gonzaga to the body. One of the body shots stun Gonzaga and Mir unloads onto Gonzaga. Ref jumps in for the stoppage via punches to the body.
Diego Sanchez(D0S3) defeats Matt Hughes(Lucky Lacy) via 3rd round TKO
Round 1: Round played out mainly on the ground with each fighter achieving mount. Hughes did most of the damage this round since he was able to mount Sanchez twice. Hughes punishes Sanchez from the mount with heavy punches, but Diego somehow manages to escape the mount position. Sanchez's left eye is swollen shut and bleeding. Round closes with Hughes clearly winning the round
Round 2: Great round. Hughes and Sanchez battle for position on the ground each reversing each others positions. Hughes gets a few slams when standing but Sanchez is beginning to control the ground. Hughes goes for a counter sub in the clinch, but Sanchez escapes to side control. Sanchez works knees in side control and then gets to mount. Sanchez works Hughes body from the mount not giving up the position. Round closes with a big finish from Sanchez.
Round 3- Out of the gate Hughes sprawls out on a Sanchez take down. Fighters return to standing and Sanchez goes for another takedown which is again sprawled on by Hughes. Sanchez powers through to open guard and goes for a sub which he quickly gives up on. Hughes gets it back to standing but is taken down immediately by Sanchez. Sanchez works from open guard to side control. Sanchez tries to transition to mount but his attempts are being thwarted. Diego finally reaches the mount position and controls Hughes. Diego rains down punches to Hughes face and body while Hughes attempts to transition out or counter grapple. Hughes has the wind knocked out of him from one of the body shots and is stunned. Diego unleashes punches to the body leading to a referee's stoppage via punches to the body.
Great fight LL. I thought I was done after the first round, but I got it together and pulled out the W.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (Todd Gilmore) submits Cheick Kongo (BWIGGZ) at 2:25 of Round 1 (Armbar)
Both fighters touch gloves. Nog tries to land a leg kick, Kongo moves out of range and counters with a leg kick of his own. Nog moves in with some jabs and body punches. Both fighters clinch and pummel for position. They push away and exchange punches then clinch again pummeling again for position, they push away again. Kongo lands some leg kicks as Nog clinches and throws some body punches and upper cuts. Kongo gets free and tries a high kick that Nog catches and uses to take him down.
From there Nog lands a few shots before moving to side control then to mount, he postures up but Kongo catches his punch and prevents him from posturing up. Nogueira goes for an armbar and sinks it. The new #1 contender for the heavyweight belt.
Oh yeah and Diego is ready for his shot at the Welterweight title. As the #1 contender, he will make sure that he takes advantage of this opportunity.

#1 Contender for the Middleweight Title
Anderson Silva (chad182) VS Dan Henderson (SoonerTEX)
Round 1
The fight starts very slow. Henderson continually goes for and gets the takedown. Eventually Herb Dean stands them up since they are stalemated in the rubber guard for most of the first round. Silva does manage to get the Muay Thai clinch and do a bit of damage and Henderson does land a vicious overhand right that sends Silva to the mat, not rocking him, just catching him.
Round 2
Henderson continues with the lay and pray. Takedowns, but no damage. Silva starts to use Kimuras and Triangle Chokes to get out of the bottom. Mid round or so Silva gets the Muay Thai clinch and works the body and head in brutal fashion. Henderson lands another quick knockdown that Silva pops back up from.
Round 3
More of the same. The fighters keep working from far outside. Silva uses push kicks, spinning back kicks, and a flying knee while Henderson sticks to his brutal overhand right. Henderson gets the fight to the ground and everytime it looks like Silva is going to get back up Henderson dives into the guard again. Silva gets desperate to get back to the feet and gets mounted with a reversal from North-South with less than a minute to go. Henderson strikes through Silva's blocking hands to rock him and catches him with 10 seconds to go.
Winner & #1 Contender for the Middleweight Title: Dan Henderson via KO at 4:50 of Round 3
This was such an even fight. I couldn't prevent the damn takedowns and Tex had trouble with my Muay Thai clinch. I would have loved to see the scorecards, but I got desperate because I figured I needed a knockout being taken down so many times (8 according to the stats).

Matt Serra (SoonerTEX) vs. Roger Huerta (BWIGGZ)
*I fought another match right after this so I hope I get the details as close as possible.
Both fighters are cautious from the start. Each fighter attempts some charging punches until Serra shoots for the double leg takedown. He tries a huge right hand from open guard but is quickly kicked out of the position. Huerta is able to land some good strikes, but Serra's strength sends the fight to the mat again. He is able to transition slowly but surely into the mount until he postures up. Serra lands a few strikes and Huerta struggles to get out of the bad position. However, he tires himself out and Serra is able to lock in the armbar and Huerta is forced to tap.
Matt Serra def. Roger Huerta via armbar at about 3:49 of the 1st round.
Good debut for Serra. Good fight BWIGGZ, good luck with all of your fighters this week and beyond.

Chad182 - Good description of our fight. I figured if you worked the rubber guard, you would be able to turn me and put me in a terrible position so I'm glad I was able to force the standup and it didn't become a problem later. Silva's muay thai clinch is obviously lethal and it proved to be a problem in our fight. I'm lucky to have broken out of it when I did or else you would have knocked me out for sure. If it went to the scorecards I think they might have given me the first and third and given you the second so I was just trying to be patient and hopefully pull out the decision, but I was fortunate to gain the mount late and finish the fight.
That was a great battle though...I hope I am able to give the champion that good of a match and give Hendo second PFC title in two different weight classes.

Lightweight Title Bout
Joe Lauzon (Todd Gilmore) submits Kenny Florian (King of K1ngs) via Triangle Choke at 4:42 of Round 3.
Round 1: Joe comes out aggressive on the feet looking to dictate the pace of the fight. He's landing jabs, leg kicks and hooks to the body. Joe clinches with a single collar tie and lands some punches and knees. Kenny separates and shoots for a takedown. He gets it and once on the ground Lauzon immediately gets rubberguard and sweeps to mount. Joe works over the body and head but Kenny immediately turns and gives up his back. From there Kenny turns right into Joe and is on top again. Round ends. 10-9 Lauzon.
Round 2: Similar striking exchanges to the first, Kenny is more aggressive with the takedowns and is successful with all of them. Lots of back and forth ground work in this one transitioning back and forth between both fighters. Joe tries numerous kimuras and comes close but Kenny manages to escape every time. Eventually Lauzon gets mount again and tries some GNP but can't keep Kenny in position, the round ends. Pretty close round. 10-9 Lauzon.
Round 3: Kenny is much more active on the feet landing clean kicks to the legs and head. He tries several times to get the thai clinch and eventually gets it, lands a few good knees before Joe gets out. Kenny shoots for another takedown and again takes Joe down pretty easily. From there Joe pulls rubberguard and they struggle for awhile, eventually Joe is able to sweep into mount where he takes his time with his strikes. As the round is coming to a close Joe decides to try to steal the round with a triangle choke which he sinks with the tapout coming soon after.
The new PFC Lightweight Champion. Joe Lauzon (Todd Gilmore).

In the 2nd meeting between Saunders and Davis, This time it was for the PFC Welterweight title that Saunders had steamrolled his way to since PFC4 where he beat Davis by KO to become the number one contender..
Round 1: Saunders and Davis get a feel for there styles. Saunders trying to land the heavy kicks and superman punches to only get them caught and slammed to the ground by Davis, where Davis would work Saunders right eye. Both fighters get back up and try to find an opening but Davis takes the fight back to the ground and gets to full mount lands a couple of punches but Saunders would give his best defense to work his way out until the round is over.. Saunders right eye is swollen and is showing fatigue while Davis shows no signs of slowing down..
Round 2: Saunders comes out rushing the fight straight to the ground trying to get the full mount but Davis defense was at top notch to work his way out and take Saunders back to the ground where he would slam Saunders and stand at the mount position landing a flurry of punches for the KO.. and now your new PFC Welterweight Champion.. Marcus "The Irish Hand Grenade" Davis!!!!

Sorry I haven't been paying attention to my friends list
When you start getting involved in online leagues with deadlines and such, it's not a bad idea to pay attention to your friends list a little more closely than you usually would.

Tito Ortiz def. Keith Jardine via guillotine - Round 1.
Lots of feeling out early in the fight. He grabbed me and went for a slam... I blocked it and got the counter guillotine (nearly impossible to get out of regardless of stamina).

Aagh, that was frustrating. My controller disconnected as you were submitting me too, didn't know if it would have made a difference tho.
How strong was your connection? The match was kind of sluggish.

The controller thing might have made a difference, but I've bullshitted people with the counter guillotine before. I subbed Nog with McCully a minute into the first once when he tried to do his signature slam.
It was a bit laggier than usual for me. I'm in Pennsylvania.. I'm guessing you're in Minnesota? It shouldn't have been that bad if that's the distance gap.

Duh.. I should've read the location. That could be why it was laggy.. different corners of the country.

Frankie Edgar vs Thiago Tavares - Lightweight #1 contender match
The round starts off with Frankie Edgar taking down Thiago. Frankie transitions to half guard but then Thiago reverses it to be in half guard. Thiago eventually gets mount and does some damage, but fortunately Frankie Edgar's elusiveness allows him to survive the round.
Round 2 starts with Frankie taking down Thiago again. This time when Frankie is in half guard he is able to posture up, and soon he gets full mount. Frankie's punches come at unpredictable times so Thiago is unable to escape, and then at 3:58 of round 2 Frankie throws a huge left hand from mount to knockout Thiago Tavares, and to become the Lightweight #1 contender.
I was so pissed at losing so freakin quickly with Keith Jardine, I needed this win. lol

Thiago Tavares (chad182) VS Frank Edgar (RKW3)
Round 1
Tavares goes for a quick kick and is quickly taken to the ground. Tavares manages to get rubber guard but Edgar moves through to half guard. Tavares pulls a reversal and eventually gets the mount. From the bottom Edgar cuts Tavares with a nasty gash, and despite dominate position Tavares is bleeding everywhere. Tavares rains down several strikes but both fighters move back and forth from mount to giving up Edgar's back. Edgar survives the round.
Round 2
More of the same. Edgar easily takes Tavares to the ground. This round is a stalemate for quite a while until Edgar reverses and gets mount. Tavares manages to escape with little damage and they get back to their feet. Tavares tries again to strike but is quickly taken down again. (here is where the lag go terrible, damn wireless internet). Tavares goes for the triangle choke from the rubber guard but after a long struggle Edgar frees himself and gets to side control. Edgar gets mount again and this time ends it with one blow.
Winner and #1 Contender for the Lightweight Title, Frankie Edgar by KO at 3:58 of Round 2
Very good fight by RKW3. I still suck at reversing on the ground and need desperately to work on that.

Your recap is better. lol
Dude you have no idea how spastically I was rotating the right stick when you where triangle choking me, I didn't want to be subbed twice in one day lol. Luckily Edgar's sub defense is better than Jardines.
It really was a great technical fight, like a chess match.

This was actually a rematch from PFC 3 where Tavares submitted Edgar in Round 2. What a good time to avenge a loss. Good luck on winning the belt because I'd love to have our rubber match for the belt.

This welterweight bout is still pending approval from JerkFace.
Martin Kampmann (Todd Gilmore) knocks out Mike Swick (DarthObvious) via Elbow Strike at 3:50 of Round 2.
DarthObvious setup his camera and recorded the match so I'll leave out the long novel sized fight description this time and just let the video tell the tale. Although it looks like only 3 minutes of round 1 was recorded, but all of round 2 is there. It was a good, fun fight. Lots of work from all different positions, punches and kicks on the feet, thai clinch work, pretty much every position on the ground.

We decided to do this fight just so we had it done if indeed JerkFace allows it, so this doesn't have to count.
As I was trying to get smaller file size for my video, I found out that on the "compact" setting on my camera, it limits the videos to 3 minutes, I have the first three minutes of Round 1, and all of Round 2, and will provide the links when they are done uploading.

Is the Middleweight Title Match (Champion Ricardo Almeida (stetskaBomber) VS Damian Maia (King of K1ngs)) going to happen by tomorrow night?? I haven't seen a post about it, and judging by the fact that the match MUST happen or the title will be stripped, it seems as if StetskaBomber hasn't been very active lately. If the match doesn't happen does Damian Maia win the title by default?
Dan Henderson is ready to take his second title in two different weight classes!

I figure it would work just like real life. If Almeida doesn't defend it at PFC 7 then he gets stripped of the belt and Demian Maia vs Dan Henderson would be for the vacant title at PFC 8.
