It will be single elimination, I will randomly draw a weight class for each fight first. After the weight class is determined, the fighters will also be randomly selected for you. I thought that this would make things fair for all, as we have a wide range of skill levels in the league.
This is a great reward for being a part of this league. I am excited about this and can't wait for the fights. Let's get it on!

How long will the tournament last? Like what's the deadline to complete all of your fights? Some people have a hard time getting in one fight a week, much less having to fit in 3 or 4 tournament fights.
Is each individual fight a random weight class and a random fighter? Or is the whole tournament just going to be a random weightclass and everyone gets a random fighter from the beginning that they will stick with all the way?
Edit: Nevermind I guess it can't be one weightclass the whole tournament since there are 19 people in and no weight class has that many fighters.

The event will go until all fights are completed, I am not going to set a time limit for it, but I wont let it get out of hand, I dont see it going any more then 7-10 days. Each fight will be a new draw for weight class, fighters, and match-ups

I forgot I will not have my XBOX from Wednesday until Sunday night...should I bow out now and give ShapelessHorror a win in Round 1, or should I just complete the fight as scheduled? I signed up for this card at the beginning of last week thinking I would have been able to get my fights in before I was unavailable or after I returned just before the Sunday night deadline. However, with this tournament format likely to extend several days, I'm not sure if I would be able to complete 2nd round fights and beyond should I win my Round 1 match. I apologize for not bringing this to your attention before the first card was announced, but I will give ShapelessHorror the W if you do not feel I will be able complete future fights in a timely manner. Thanks for the opportunity, I wish I didn't have scheduling issues this week.
JerkFaceFave

dont worry about it, I think that will still be ok, I would rather extend it a bit then have people miss out. Besides I can always do a standard card for next week before the tournament ends, Just try to get your fights lined up ahead of time for as soon as you can after you get your system back.

Cthrash when are you available? Im availavle after midnight est tommorow.
Fabricio Werdum defeats Cain Velazquez by KO in the first
Round 1: Velasquez comes out cautious. Werdum is teeing off with body kicks and high kicks to Velasquez. Werdum gets two straight Muay Thai clinches but does little damage. He is mixing high and low kicks well. Velasquez lands one big punch and then grapples with Werdum. Werdum counters the throw and lands in Mount. Werdum stuns Velazquez with a punch to the face and KO's him early in the first.
Well I wasn't thrilled with my draw of fighters especially since I was going against Werdum who has great submissions vs. Velasquez and his 59 sub d, but ya do what ya gotta do. Govano came out strong and I was just flat. The minute my throw was countered I knew it was over. Govano was not gonna give up that mount and once the stamina goes it would have been done. Oh well hopefully next time I bring my A game because I really just blew it today. Good fight Govano. You whooped my ass.

Pfffft. As champion I demand special treatment. Throughout the history of MMA tournaments the champions never have the cards stacked against them. They always receive special treatment like a first round bye or something. Since I have 3 belts I should go straight to the finals.
Kidding. I don't really mind that much. But stats are a huge thing in the game especially when there is such a large discrepancy between two fighters, and in the case of Nakamura he's the only fighter in the game that I can think of who doesn't at least have one focused area that you can turn to as a strength to try to make your main area of attack. He's just all around bad at everything, lol. You put that up against an elite fighter in the game and your opponent doesn't really have to do a whole lot to win.
It's fine, I understand JerkFace was just scared stiff and had to do something to try and give himself an edge. :P

MW ballhawkdawk (Amir Sadollah) VS chad182 (Wilson Gouveia)
Round 1
The fight starts off on the feet but Gouveia immediately tries for a takedown that is stuffed. Amir is poking here and there doing a little damage, but nothing major. Eventually Amir gets the Muay Thai clinch and does some work on Gouveia. Gouveia stumbles around seemingly lost. Amir gets the Muay Thai clinch again and hits some knees to the body. After Gouveia breaks away, he goes for another takedown but Amir's sprawl leaves him on the ground. A quick reversal and Gouveia gets into side control after a smooth transition. Gouveia gets over anxious to mount and gets flipped to the north south position and choked out with a north south choke.
Winner: Amir Sadollah via Submission at 4:45 of Round 1
I'm bummed out. ballhawkdawk took me to school. It shows I suck as a boxer/submission guy because I have probably one of the Top 5 submission guys and I got tapped out. ballhawkdawk worked me and I wish him the best of luck. MW Killakrok (Rich Franklin) DEF Satchmo Davis (Thales Leites) at 2:07 in Round 3 Via KO.
Round 1
Both fighters start to thorn hands. Franklin shoots and Leites stuff it to sprawl position. Fralnkin gets to guard and reverses Leithes. He does some good damage before Leithes gets out.
Round 2
More standup. Franklin gets a takedown and manages to mount Lathes after along struggle. Leithes takes damage, before sweeping Franklin and doing some good damage on the ground from guard and side control. At the end of the round he goes for a sub but time expires.
Round 3
Franklin takes Leites down again and works to mount. He does good damage, but Leites avoids big shots, but is then rocked by a right hand. he manages to push Franklin and recovers. Franklin chases him down and hits him with a left-right hook combo that knocks Leites out.

Round 1: Both men start throwing blows hoping the other is going to run into it, eventually Gonzaga gets through with a small kick to the leg. Gonzaga then starts strong landing several punches to the head and kicks to the body, then grabs the Muay Thai clinch. Knee to the head is block, and Gonzaga lets go. Gonzaga lands some more punches to head before Nogueira goes for a take down, but Gonzaga sprawls out of it. A 2nd attempt brings the same result. Gonzaga looks for a head kick, but it's blocked at Nogueira clinches, looking for a takedown from it, but instead gets caught in a guillotine! Nogueira gets out into side control, and rides Gonzaga for a bit, but Gonzaga reverses to get himself on top of Nogueira. Gonzaga works the body a bit, and gets to full mount, but just as quickly Nogueira flips Gonzaga onto his back and into guard. Gonzaga keeps throwing punches from underneath and may have opened up a cut on Nogueira, who stands the fight back up. Nogueira grabs an attempted punch into a clinch, and tries to take Gonzaga down again, but is caught in a guillotine again! Nogueira escpaes to side control again, and this time works his way to a full mount. Gonzaga fights from the bottom through, definately opening a cut under Nogueira eye, while taking some body shots himself. Gonzaga eventually flips over into Nogueira's guard. Gonzaga lands a couple of elbows to the injured eye, then moves into half guard, but Nogueira tries to grab a kimura from underneath! Almost has it but Gonzaga slips away and into side control. 30 seconds left in the round and Gonzaga seems to be content to land some shots to the head from here, but gets flipped onto his back and Nogueira now assumes side control. Gonzaga manages to stand the fight back up as the round comes to an end.
Round 2: Both men open up this round much the same as the first, but this time its Nogueira who lands a lunging punch to start things off. Gonzaga connects with a flying knee, follows up with some punches to the head, and then grabs the Muay Thai clinch once again. First knee is blocked, 2nd connects to the body, and the 3rd to the head! Lets go of the clinch and lands a punch or two to the head, but Nogueira comes right back with a takedown attempt. This time Gonzaga spraws and keeps Nogueira down, but Nogueira quicks pulls into guard, they struggle trying to fight for position, with Gonzaga posturing up and landing a few good shots to the head before getting pulled back down. Nogueira gets into his rubber guard and works from there to Gonzaga's back, and then eventually to a full mount! Both men trading blows from here, it doesn't look like Gonzaga can take much more. Nogueira looking for a triangle, but Gonzaga somehow stands up and break out of it and into side control. Nogueira trying to get back to his feet, but Gonzaga takes advantage and gets to full mount, left hand, Nogueira is out!
Winner via KO at 4:08 in the 2nd Round: Gabriel Gonzaga
Toughest fight I've had in the league so far, I thought he had me when he went for that triange while I was rocked. Well fought

When can I get my ass wooping Zod?
Whenever is good for you. I was on tonight from like 9pm-1am EST. I'm still up now and if you're around we could go ahead and get it done tonight, but if not I'm heading to bed soon so we'll have to do it tomorrow or something.
Rampage KO's Lyoto Machida at 1:49 of the 3rd round.
1. Lyoto shows respect, and Rampage has a moment of temporary mental retardation (I tried to extend my glove, but hit the wrong button). Rampage comes out and feints punches as he looks for an opening. Machida is tentative. Both men circle and throw a few strikes, back and forth. Rampage takes it to the ground with a heavy slam, and stands in Machida's open guard, picking his shots. He passes to sidecontrol, and attempts to mount, but Machida reverses it. The round ends with Machida trying to advance position.
2. The round opens with more of the same feeling-out from the first. Rampage attemps a single-collar tie a few times, but he isn't able to do much damage. Lyoto is more aggresive with strikes this round, and his kicks get the better of Quinton, several times. Rampage slams him to the mat, once again. Lyoto catches Rampage in Rubber guard. Ramage breaks free and once again stands in Lyoto's open guard to deliver heavy blows. He rocks Machida with a right hand. Machida is able to kick him off, but Rampage stays close and catches an upkick, passing to sidemount. The round ends as Rampage tees off with elbows to Machida's face.
3. It's amazing Machida can still see to fight. As they engage eachother in the third round, Both of Machida's eyes appear to be swollen shut. A small amount of blood trickling from his right eye must be the only thing that's keeping him from being legally blind. He comes out looking for openings to strike. Rampage once again clinches and takes him down. He strikes Machida's body a few times and passes to side. After a few knees, Rampage is able to get mount. He immediately throws one wide left hook, which promptly ends the fight.
Good fight. I think you could've easily outstruck me if you could've avoided the clinch.

Kazuhiro Nakamura (Todd Gilmore) submits Thiago Silva (JerkFaceFave) via triangle choke at 3:49 of Round 3.
Round 1: Both fighters come out striking. Nakamura winning the early exchanges, picking Thiago apart from the outside. Thiago gets the clinch but only lands a couple of knees before being taken down. Once on the ground Nakamura is unable to really do much. They make it back to the feet where Thiago reverses an attempted throw from Nakamura and lands in side control. 10-9 Nakamura.
Round 2: Thiago lands lots of leg kicks and a few headkicks. On the ground he has a lot more success, just passing through Nakamura's transition block attempts like nothing. Pounding away the the whole time. Nakamura gets it back standing and attempts a judo throw, which Thiago reverses and goes for a rear naked choke. Thiago gets the arm under the neck but Nakamura doesn't give up and gives it everything he has to escape it. 10-9 Thiago Silva.
Round 3: Lots of submission attempts from Nakamura that fail and lots of reversals from Thiago into dominant position. Mostly a ground battle for the entire round. Back on the feet Nakamura knocks Thiago down with an uppercut from the clinch but just gets upkicked when he tries to follow it up. Eventually the fight is back on the ground with Thiago in Nakamura's guard. Nakamura attempts a triangle choke and this time he finally manages to get a tap.
Ridiculously hard fight for me. Nakamura is just so slow and his stats are so low I couldn't reverse anything or get through any blocks, or hold Thiago down. On the feet I just couldn't catch any kicks or really block anything because of the speed difference. I was absolutely AMAZED when I got out of the counter RNC after the failed judo throw. I didn't even know that it was possible to get out of a RNC once it was in stage 2 with the arm clearly under the neck. First time I've ever done it or seen it happen. I started off spinning like crazy and then when it went to stage 2 I just mashed like a fucking mad man the whole time saying "Fuck I'm gonna get counter subbed."
I was pretty disappointed when I had Thiago gassed but he still managed to easily get out of submission attempts all because Nakamura has such bad sub offense. I was relieved when the final triangle choke worked since I figured I would lose on the score cards. I had to abandon the reversal game early since Nakamura's stats just leave him with way too small of a window to do anything to Thiago.
Very good, high tension type of fight. The closest I've come to losing in PFC by far.

Spencer Fisher (AJ Kid) beats Joe Stevenson (JonB98525) via Triangle Choke with 2:25 left in the 2nd round.
The ending came when I was on his full guard and he attempted several transitions, we got up, and he inmediately knocks me down, he then went throwing punches with me on the ground and I catch one arm, and after several seconds of trying to sink the sub It was all over. Good Fight Jon.

my fight with BigDog is probably not gonna happen. I'm usually online during the day and he is online usually at night. We just have different schedules that don't match and have made it hard to complete this fight. Good luck to everyone else in the tournament.

I thought that this would be the final if you guys did not meet in an earlier round. I would think that the winner on this match is the favorite to win the prize.
K1ng is a hard man to get ahold of. I've tried to do our PFC11 fight the past couple of days. I work for the next three days, so I'll either be on late night, or around noonish (central)

Mark Coleman defeats Cain Velasquez via Guillotine Choke at 4:43 of the first round.
Nice, albiet short, back and forth fight, plenty of fighting stand up, and wrestling on the ground. Velasquez tried going for submission a couple of times, but eventually got caught in a guillotine while attempting to wrestle Coleman down.

In a very close fight, Frank Edgar (July 4 1776) beats BJ Penn (AJ Kid) via Unanimous decision 29-28 across the board.
I think it was almost a coin toss the decision, the fight was very even, BJ took the first round very easy but the second and third round were won by Edgar just barely, I think in the end that knockdown Edgar got on BJ late in the 3rd was the diference.

Very close fight, was nearly positive it was going to be a draw untill the knockdown. Bj did his usual first round killing but wore out in the second and third rounds allowing Frank to come back and win the second round and tie the third round. Edgar had BJ on the ground and no one was going anywhere, realizing there was no way to win the fight without winning the last round hands down, Edgar let up BJ and started attacking him with fierce punches getting a knock down.
Great fight AJ, after that first round i thought i was done for, but luckily bj grew tired lol
Anderson Silva taps Michael Bisping with a triangle at 2:58 into the first round.
Silva feints and then steps in with leg kicks and a few punches to the head and body. Bisping misses a big hook and Anderson catches him in the face with a teep kick. Silva immediately gets the thai clinch and lands two or three knees. Bisping shucks him off. Anderson throws more body shots and Bisping retaliates. Anderson catches a kick and takes him down. He attempts a kneebar, but Bisping fights it. Silva reverses Bisping and ends up in sidemount. Bisping struggles to sweep Silva, but Anderson once again reverses and lands in Mount. Bisping is punched in the head while attempting to escape. Silva catches him in a triangle from the mount and rolls on his back to finish.

Jon Fitch def. Matt Hughes via kimura in round 3
Toward the end of the second round I realized I was going to lose a decision at this rate. Hughes looked fine and Fitch had cuts and bruises all over his face. I had to either pour it on in the third or lose the decision. I went for a couple slams and managed to get out of a Hughes armbar attempt. Hughes had no stamina at that point and it was my only window to win, so I went for the kimura.

I stayed up most every night this week as late as I could trying to catch you, but the only time I even saw you online was right as I was going to bed on like a Wednesday or Thursday. On Saturday night I think you left me a message while my girlfriend and I were watching a movie but it doesn't show message notifications when you're watching movies so I didn't see it until the following day. On Sunday I checked as early as I could and for the remainder of the time I was home but you weren't on then, after that I was out of town for the rest of the day/night until I got home and went to bed.

I didn't play for a week before I fought you and Lacy either. I've lost interest in really playing random people, especially the last time I played since 1/3 fights now are just people trying to exploit cheesy unrealistic stuff. The game just isn't really fun anymore the way people play it now. That along with all the inconsistencies with online play and I just don't really have much interest anymore. Once I lose my PFC belts I'll probably retire from the league and just occasionally play UFC with friends or something.

Good luck to shapeless horror
I know it's the result of a coin flip and everything, but that really sucks for you.
Maybe if I lose, you could persuade Jerk to let you fight the winner?
The ghost of Evan Tanner submits Michael Bisping at 2:38 into the second round.
It was a triangle. Tanner was very tentative with the standup, thinking Bisping could knock him out at any moment, so he would get in quickly and then get out. Standup was back and forth, though Bisping landed heavier shots.
Darth has a video, so I wont bother doing a very detailed writeup.
Bisping hurt Tanner in the first round standing, then took him down and pounded on him from half guard. Tanner was able to get a reversal, but still took more punishment. Tanner came back in the beginning of the second, and Bisping went for a takedown, though he was out of range and Tanner shot back at him, softened him up then flipped him on his back. Bisping struggled to get up, but Tanner made it to mount and landed a couple more shots before rolling into a triangle.

Koscheck def. Anthony Johnson via armbar in the 2nd round
He was beating my ass standing. I knew going into the fight that I wasn't going to stand aside from setting up takedowns and closing the distance. Whenever I got on top I was usually able to hold it. Eventually I got mount, rocked him, and his stamina was low enough to go for an armbar.

Darn, couldn't even get beat by the king! Congrats ballhawk
The odds were simply against me on that one. Johnson has no grappling ability, whatsoever. I tried to hurt him standing when I could, but Kos is too much of a beast when it comes to takedowns and ground control.
I suppose it's all for the best, anyway...I don't think I really deserved the position of final fight, because July and I never had our fight.
Luck of the draw, I guess.
