Yeah, I veto as well.
Some of these trades are getting a little ridiculous. I know I've made 3 trades myself, but I always made sure there was an even "keel" with the players involved which benefited each team in what they were gaining, etc,...

What dont you guys agree with??
I essentially traded Bart Scott for Braylon Edwards cause I needed a number 1 reciever and I gave him good value to his team with some young players with high pot. and depth for his team.
Those other players involved are all backups for me anyways.

Bart Scott and Jim Leonard are both on keel with Braylon and Coleman.
It's just ridiculous to have the other guys in there.
None of the trades you ever put out there ever really make sense.

lmao at vetoing this and letting those other BS trades go through
i thought this league was supposed to be realistic? All the trading is nuts.

Well thats your opinion but I strongly disagree.Im getting a young stud reciever to complete my offense. All those other players were reserves for me except Bart Scott of course. So quit hating.

You wanna talk about realism well theres questionable trades in all sports and you dont see an option for vetos in real life so there goes your realism.

i'll do you one better. yOu don't see this many trades in the NFL period lol.

That's because the real NFL has to worry about Salaries and Cap penalties, lol. I wouldn't have made 1/2 of my trades if those two things were working.

Exactly
and that's what i'm saying. I guess it was unrealistic for me to believe that a league of 32 wouldn't take advantage of trades, and avoid doing stuff we probably wouldn't see in the NFL.
If we were going to have this many trades, we might as well do a fantasy draft.
Btw, if guys want to trade, I don't care. Just don't bitch about others trades, when you're trades are just as lopsided. lol

Fred's pretty much on point with his comments...
i feel there's been far too many transactions...
but when it comes down to it... i really don't care one way or another...
I'm just trying to get my falcons soaring...

I don't have a problem with people doing a couple trades to improve an area of their team. It becomes a problem when people start trading just to trade, and it seems a couple people have started to do this...

I veto on the grounds of disrupting anything involving the Jets.
There are a lot of trades going on. (Is Michael Vick on his third team for this season?) I prefer more roster stability so the league better reflects the actual NFL, but that's personal preference.

actually. every trade does technically get submitted to the competition committee for review.

you seriously don't know what that means? It means like someone else said, trade, just because you can. Do you really think the jets would make that many damn trades in a season? lol

You must not be too swift cause you keep comparing this online franchise trading to real life.Obviously the real teams wouldnt make this many deals because of salary complications.
Like I said Im not making trades for no reason so if you feel that way then too bad.

My goal was to improve my team. Sure my best receiver is Robiskie, but it's something I can work on. My defense needed a lot more help.
I honestly haven't seen a trade that hasn't been opposed yet, so..oh well.

Reading through all this has made me think that we should include some kind of free agent cap hit, or no trade clause on players involved in trades that a team would have to take if they trade to many times in a season. I think that would lead to owners making better trade decisions. As it stands now, it seems that if you make a bad trade you can just trade your way back out of it a few days later. It just feels like a trade swap meet right now, and that the trades don't have all that much magnitude.

i think you're the one who's not swift because you don't get what anyone is saying. Nobody said anything about salary cap. The point was that, I thought this league was supposed to be a sim style/realistic type league. The shit going on with all the trades isn't realistic. Regardless if they are happening because there is no salary cap. Nobody said you weren't trying to improve your team either by trading. you keep saying that, but nobody is arguing that it's not the purpose.
Again, what I'm saying and a few others is, just because there isn't a salary cap, doesn't make it right to do a ton of trades just to improve your team. pretty soon you'll end up with with a whole new roster and your team won't even resemble the jets lol
Like LV i haven't been opposed to any of the trades going on. I just think it's lame that teams are making a bunch of trades just because they can. And what's also is hilarious is you make a trade that everyone vetos and you call them haters. Yet you are in the other thread saying another trade was lopsided lol.

Yea thats my bad for being a hipocrite on criticizing others trades but it was just my opinion.

Week 6 is the trade deadline right? Lets hurry up and get there :)
I dont really care about the trading. I mean hell most people didn't get their favorite team so thats part of the appeal. I guess I'm just not that way, I'm really hesitant to make trades at this point. I may look to trade away someone for an extra draft pick though.

Hey Pasta...How would that work with Draft picks being traded away? Will the team just choose for you and then release the player so you can pick him up? I wasn't the Commish when we did our Mock Draft so I don't know if you can re-assign Draft picks

Also...Week 4 please; I need to get that sour loss off my Franchise Hub. Not saying I'm automatically going to win the next one but the way I lost to the Steelers still stings when I see the score.

Yep thats how we have to do it. Basically the team will have to draft the player that they want for them and then drop to FA so they can pick them up. It works out in the end.
