question. commish has option of edit rosters...by adding and dropping guys, so could we trade draft picks for this upcoming rookie draft and commish can just edit the rosters come draft time? just curious....im in another league and they're doing that..

If you want to trade draft picks why not just tell the guy who's pick you got who to draft for you, and then just do some sort of dummy trade after to get it rght.

ATLANTA - The Atlanta Falcons received word in the first quarter of their opening game that a trade offer with the 49ers had been accepted that would allow one of their fan favorites to finish his career in the city where he enjoyed some of his greatest success.

The 49ers traded Allen Rossum, 2-time Pro Bowler and Atlanta's all-time kickoff and punt return yardage leader, to the Falcons in a 4 player deal that sent QB DJ Shockley and OLB Stephen Nicholas to the 49ers in exchange for Rossum and OLB Manny Lawson.
Coach Enderz had this to say about the trade, "This trade wasn't about X's and O's as much as it was about doing right by a member of our extended family. Allen had a great career here in Atlanta and has sort of bounced around the league since he left. We just thought it would be fitting to have him finish his career here where we still remember what he was like when he was the "Fastest Player in the NFL" (editor's note: at the 2005 Pro Bowl). He may have lost a few steps steps since then, but we still think he's a pretty special player."

Word is that the 49ers intend to use Shockley to help take some of the load off RB Frank Gore by attempting to work the Wildcat into their offensive game plan.

Shockley was a 7th round pick out of Georgia by the Falcons in the 2006 draft, and quickly established himself as a hometown favorite, but a devastating knee injury in a preseason game against the Bills derailed his young career and he missed the entire 2007 season with a torn ACL and damaged MCL.
Last year he narrowly beat out Joey Harrington for the #3 spot on Atlanta's roster, but Coach Enderz had made it clear that he intended to rely on a more conventional running attack and did not plan to experiment with the Wildcat this season.

should just make a thread and when a draft pick is traded make note of it....
like make a list of every teams and there draft picks and when one is traded..just add that pick to the teams picks
and i would prob make it a sticky so it stays at the top of forum

The NFL trade deadline is Oct 20th. So that's the Tuesday after week 6. So tomorrow is the JFL trade deadline. Same week in the schedule and same day after that weeks games.

Big trade coming out of Oakland. The Raiders have decided to send T.Howard, D. McFadden, and Johnie Lee Higgins in a package deal to the Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles have sent Oakland A.Simms rookie MLB, L.Mccoy HB, and T.Laws backup DT out of Notre Dame. More news on this deal to come....
The Oakland Raiders have also agreed to a deal that will send Jamarcus Russell to the Eagles for Kevin Kolb. When asked about the trade Jamarcus said he was shocked, and caught off guard. A unnamed source close to Raider's Owner AL Davis has told us that the team, coaches, and Owner all suported the deal. Kevin Kolb is expected to take over the starting QB position. He was unavailable for comment.

This trade sends a very good WR to Oakland, to go along with thier speedsters. It also send a fast, young TE, Jared Cook to Oakland.
With the addition of WR's Jeremy Maclin, Roddy White, and Rookie WR, Marvin Blansit, along with Kenny Britt, Washington has not seen the field in the Titans 1st 2 games of the season, thus making him expandable to get the CB help they needed.
As for the Titans. Nzane gets one of his favorite targets, TE Zack Miller(this is only League I don't have the Raiders in!!), and, it gets him the nickle back that the Titans have been looking for, CB Stanford Routt. A 74 overall, but Routt has 95 speed, something Coach Nzane loves in his CB's. Javon Walker was also thorw in, but will not see munch, if any playing time.
Good deal for both.
