Did anyone pick this up on Blu-Ray? I'm tempted seeing as though I never went to the theatres to see it....thoughts, comments?

Jackman salvages it from being a complete wreck.
I put it slightly above X3 (not saying much), far from X2 and X1. The first two acts are pretty entertaining. I think he plays Wolverine very well in all 3 Xmen movies as well as this. He's very watchable as Wolverine.
That being said, the final act is just God awful.
Nothing that would ruin the movie: Deadpool ends up being turned into a super mutant with the combined powers of almost everybody in the movie (Wolverine, Cyclops, etc).
If that sounds stupid, the final fight takes place on a narrow ledge leaving the action with an incredibly restrained one dimensional feeling. Anticlimactic is an understatement.
There is also a scene where Wolverine discovers his adamantium covered claws in a bathroom and the CGI looks like something an amateur did, it's REALLY bad looking.
I say rent it and go buy X1 and X2.
i checked out the blu-ray a few weeks ago. I thought the movie was ok. Like Ironhorse said better than X3. I just liked that the story was just about him.
I picked it up yesterday because I didn't see it in the movie theater either. I'm a Marvel homer, I like all of them.
Even when they're bad, they're still good (to me).
Plus the Blu Ray has enough extra features to make it worth it.
Funny I saw this post now, I have the Blu Ray right here, I'm downloading my Digital Copy to my ipod.
Here's all the features:
-The roots of Wolverine: A conversation with Stan Lee and Len Wein featurette
-Wolverine Unleashed: The complete origins featurette
-Weapon X mutant files
-The Thrill of the Chase: The helicopter sequence
-Ultimate X-Mode BONUSVIEW: x Connect, the director's chair, pre-visualizing -Wolverine and X facts trivia track
-Deleted & alternate scenes with commentary by Gavin Hood
-Fox Movie Channel presents world premiere
-Audio commentary by director Gavin Hood
-Audio commentary by producers Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter
-BD-Live: Live Lookup powered by IMDb

^ I'm waiting patiently for Blade to come out on Blu.
A Canadian company released it but it's the pan and scan version zoomed in and matted to a widescreen ratio (yuck).

Hell yeah Blade.
I'm kinda like Haze. I love Marvel characters and usually like every movie involving them (except Punisher. I hate Punisher). This movie broke my heart because I love both Deadpool and Gambit. I carry an old Gambit trading card in my wallet for good luck. I hated what they did to Deadpool when he has so much potential to be the next big Marvel movie star. Gambit wasn't too awful I suppose. I hated the accent but I like the actor (What Would Riggins Do?). It was a very bad movie though. I still enjoy it because at the end of the day....it's a Wolverine movie! I think this is the role that Jackman was born for.
they are making a movie on deadpool with Ryan Reynolds. I wonder what direction that will go. I hated the ending with him. it was so lame.

Actually, Ryan Reynolds signed on the be Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) in the live action movie of Green Lantern.
I read an article the other day about how the would be Deadpool spin-off will be a comic series now.
I kinda like the post credit Deadpool shot at the end of Wolverine.

I watched it last night...it was entertaining. I have to agree though, some of the CGI was really bad. I'm guessing the bad stuff was part of the post-shoot $25 million they spent after bad preview buzz. Still, not a bad movie.
Also, I don't know if they've said definatively that Reynolds is playing Hal Jordan. That's the obvious GL he'd play, but they haven't come out and said that yet. Personally, I'm more of a fan of Guy Gardner. How can you not like a superhero who almost wasn't because a battery blew up in his face?

I'm pretty sure that he has officially signed. I can't remember where I read it. (Maybe RottenTomatoes or SuperHeroHype).

No, I know he signed on to do Green Lantern, I just don't know if he's playing Hal Jordan.

Ok. I would rather see him as Deadpool honestly. He is way to good at being a smartass to not be Deadpool.

I'm too the point where the only ways that I buy Blu-Ray is...
A) Amazon
B) Walking down the Blu-Ray isle at Best Buy and look at all of the sale tags.

So I went to a local FYE and found it on sale for 27.99 with an instant 5.00 rebate if you used a debit card. Kinda short, thought they would expand on the story a little bit, but it was a good flick regardless. LOL @ Ryan Reynolds' version of Deadpool, I always liked that character, I think Rob Liefeld created him or was it Dave Micheline? not sure, but it should be an interesting movie when it's released. out of 5 I give it a 3.5.

Especially if you wait a few months. Which I could with a movie like this.
Many movies I've been meaning to buy are now around $15.00 new.
