OFF TOPIC: EASHL Team Ellipsis

FYI - We are certainly advancing tonight. No matter what. I will be home later on and Gabe and I will get our game in.

I will also be playing NHL10 tonight.... So if you see me on NHL10, please dont bother me about advancing.... Whether Gabe is available before or after my NHL10 time, I wont advance until I am done with NHL10.

The point of this is to give owners (especially if everyone is talking) as much time as possible. Dont worry though.. not gonna advance it too late, like in the past. My guess is Midnight or 1am.

Midnight/1am is GREAT!!! On a side note do u have a EASHL Team??? If so could i get a tryout, if not would u like to get one started as co-gms???

Got one already... about 8 or 9 guys... yet to play... just did my normal recruiting goodness... Gonna try out whoever wants a tryout tonight.

I actually debated long and hard about posting here.... Some people dont think I should be allowed to have other hobbies, a personal life or play other games. Rant over.

Anyway... We already have about 4 or 5 Rivalries (and 1 Associate team... former teammate form last years EASHL team that started his own this year). The rivalries are something I seeked out among a select group of teams that seemed to have the same mindset as us (fair, realistic hockey)

Please give Team Ellipsis a look...

Ha... thought you would get on here...Anyway... just sent you the Rivalry request... Not sure if you have to accept those or just accept the Associate ones.

Depending on how it handles the Rivalries/Associates ingame, I Might switch it and make you an Associate team... either way.. we'll play you for sure.

Do you use EASHL Forum? They just got swallowed in by OS, but it is still the BEST site to find Teams, Players, Matches and Tourneys... you get your own team page with forums/calendar... good shit.

I'll help you decide...

If you are a hardcore Hockey fan that really craves the realism... then you cant go back to NHL 09.

If you are an average or casual fan that can deal with the slightly arcade feel (way more arcade feel after playing NHL10), then just stick with NHL10.

The updates are almost all in gameplay and they make a BIG difference, but they absolutely make the game tougher and more of a real hockey game (like having to make the right pass when in the corner instead of being able to just magically/blindly pass it to a streaking teammate)

The polish is not there.. Some cool new things here and there, but nothing major as far as features and game modes...

EASHL does seem a lot better (and their web aspect blows Madden's away oddly enough).

The strangest things that I have found is that the BE A PRO Goalie mode is INSANELY fun. Just the slightest control tweaks make it one of my favorite modes and I am not a Goalie in real life. Putting the Butterfly to the LT and the Hug Post to the RT is GENIUS! Plus the timing feels PERFECT, shots come at you fast, but with enough time to actually make the save, not just let it hit you. I really cant express just how well it plays, you have to feel it to know what I mean.

Oh the other stuff?... Its for NHL10's EASHL League.

If you never played it... it is like an RPG in Hockey form, you control only your player, can build his stats, form teams. All fairly realistic (can only be on 1 team, most teams have try-outs),

This year, each month is broken into a season.

The rivalry stuff is how you challenge other teams.
