Vikings 27
Ravens 17
I can keep this short. Adrian Petersen. AP. AP. AP. AP. AP. AP. AP. AP. AP. I finally started to bottle him up in the second half, but it was too late. Plus I had the score at 27-17 with 4 minutes and the ball in viking territory, but alas, I forced one to Heap in the end zone and got picked. He sat on it and ran the clock out. I will say this, he played fair. Good assortment of plays and I just couldn't get enough bodies on AP. When I bottled the run, he started throwing to AP!!!!!!! Good game man. The rest of the league will continue to look for supermans kryptonite!

Seattle 26
Arizona 15
Seattle pulls off another upset at home thanks largely to an excellent defensive effort. Arizona came out with their high powered passing game and really spread the ball around...so much so that 18 different Seahawks were responsible for 26 tackles. The Cardinals were unstoppable in their own territory, but once they crossed midfield, Seattle's D beard down big time and Arizona's offense never scored a TD. They were limited to 3 FG's in the first half and a punt return for a TD by Steve Breaston in the 3rd quarter.
On the other side of the ball, Seattle came in against an Arizona defense averaging 21 points allowed per game....pretty good for Madden. They faced some challenges, but the Seahawks made their living on 3rd down, converting 10-13 (77%) attempts. One of these was a 12 yd TD pass caught by Andre Johnson on 3rd down to give Seattle a 7-3 lead. After Breaston's punt return TD put Seattle down 14-15, they responded with a methodical 5-minute drive that put them in the endzone to take the lead late in the 3rd quarter. Another TD - a 16 yd catch by Justin Forsett (on 3rd down no less) - gave Seattle a 26-15 lead with 5:59 to go in the 4th.*
With the clock ticking down, the Cardinals, again, moved it quickly past midfield and down to the Seattle 30. However a huge interception by Marcus Trufant gave Seattle the ball back and allowed them to run down the clock.
Stats:
[Seattle]
Matt Hasselbeck: 23-32, 245 yds, 3 TD
Lawrence Maroney: 18 car, 73 yds, 1 TD / 1 rec, 6 yds
Andre Johnson: 4 rec, 54 yds, 1 TD
[Arizona]
Kurt Warner: 21-30, 207 yds, 1 INT
Beanie Wells: 7 car, 22 yds
Anquan Boldin: 3 rec, 46 yds / 1 car, 16 yds
*In case the score doesn't seem to add up here, Madden told me to go for two on both of these TD's and I accidentally hit A. Both attempts failed.

Yea gg sidewinder. Madden was trying to get me to go for 2 pretty consistantly as well. I think his time away from the game made him rusty. And the cardinals start dropping down the ranks of the nfc west

Lions 26
Packers 21
This was a good clash bewteen 2 NFC north rivals...The game started out with a nice drive from the Packers and ended with a 13yrd TD pass, the Lions would answer with a nice drive of there own and end up getting a 35yrd FG...after a GB punt the Lions would drive again only to come up short and get another FG this time 24yrds, the Packers got the ball next and marched night down the field scoring on a 5yrd TD run by Grant...But the Lions knowing they needed a score before halftime got a couple of big plays and scored a TD in 1:05 with a pass to C. Johnson, at the half it was 14-13 Packers...The Lions got the ball at halftime and had a long and successful drive that ended in a 27yrd TD pass to new Lion L. White the drive took 8:31...The Packers tried to answer quickly but had to punt and the Lions took advantage driving down to get a 30yrd FG...After another GB punt the Lions added on a 19yrd FG just before the 2min warning...Green Bay didnt go into the night that quickly though and drove down to get a TD with :53 left in the game, however the Lions would recover the onsides kick to seal the victory 26-21!!!
Offense Stats:
M. Stafford- 15/22 223Yrds 2TDs

If you accidently go for it for a extra point just take the delay of game and kick the chipshot. Thats what i'd recommend next time.

24-21, Texans.
First quarter was a wild one as Houston matriculated the ball down the field with the forward pass as they would wind up capping off their drive by hitting Stevie Slaton on a 7yd pass to take the early lead.
The Bengals first drive..hell, the first play would see Palmer dropping a duck of a pass right into Ochocinco's bread basket that he would take to inside the five. Of the play, a fan on behalf of Mr. OC tweeted the following:
"Call me Iron Chef, cuz I cooked that duck, dawg!"
However it wouldn't be an easy first score as it took the Bengals a try on the later downs to punch it in for the game tying score.
A Kris Brown FG, followed by another Palmer TD put the game at 10-14, Cincy but Schaub tucking it in and running from two yards out put the game at 17-14 at the half.
At 8:49, Scott would punch it in for the go-ahead TD to have the Cincy fans in la-la land as their first win would surely be coming. However, the Texans who were coming off a few bad losses looked to play the role of spoiler as Donnie Avery caught a huge TD across the middle to make it 24-21, Houston.
All was not so simple as Cincy would have the ball with under a minute left and began to play to tie the game. The FG team would trot onto the field after a big defensive stand by the Texans to try and tie the game at 24 with under :30 left. The snap was good.. the hold was good..the kick; not so good. Bouncing off the cross bar, it was the type of play that seemingly typified the Bengals season as a short two yard run by Slaton, followed by an 11yd pass to Owen Daniels would ice the game for the Texans as they escape from Cincy the victor.
Schaub would be named the games MVP with the following stats:
28 for 37 completing two TDs and one INT, finishing with 299 yds.
--
It was a great game against Blessed and I was sure my DBs were doing everything they could to keep him in the game as they missed a ton of INTs..a few that could've iced the game too. The FG..ugh. I thought he made it and didn't know he missed it until the commentary said otherwise. Only thing I can offer to say about his scheme was that instead of going for a potentially game tying FG to end the half, he went for it and Eugene Wilson picked it off in the end zone to preserve the lead.

Bills 28 - Jets 27
This was a great game. Both teams were going shot for shot. The game ended when the Jets scored a touchdown with 11 second left in the game, to bring them within an extra point of evening the score at 28. The Jets coach could not fight the urge to get a win in the books now, and after a successful offensive drive, he decided to go for 2.
On a rollout playaction pass, everyone was covered, pass batted down, ball game.
Great game, nawcor. I had fun playing that one.

The Panthers looked like the underdog coming into this sunday matchup vs. the Bucs after a disappointing start to the 2009 season going 0-4. The Buccaneers appear to be one of the more dominant teams in the NFL with a solid 4-1 start.
The Panthers were off to a solid start as they took their opening drive down to the one yardline where Deangelo Williams punched it in for a 1 yard touchdown. The Buccaneers looked like they were going to quickly respond after starting to gain momentum but an errant pass was picked off and the Panthers regained control. Once again the Panthers found their groove with a solid drive ending in another goal line run by Deangelo Williams for a 6 yard touchdown.
The offenses both then started to struggle with Haynesworth stepping up big for the Buccaneers with a pair of tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Just as it looked like the Buccaneers had finally got their groove in picking a few first downs Chris Gamble jumped a route to pick off a second pass and return it for a 3rd touchdown. Jonathon Stewart all but put the game away in the first half when, on the final play of the first half broke several tackles and scampered to the end zone for a 62 yard touchdown putting the first half score at 28-0.
Relying on their newly awakened run game the Panthers were able to reasonably control the clock and the defense held off the Buccaneers threatening offense even after a few huge passes leading to two touchdowns (86 yard pass to Earnest Graham that lead to a 1 yard TD run by Cadillac; 75 Yard bomb to DeSean Jackson for a touchdown).
Final score 40-14 (odd that the safety isn't showing).
After a tough start to the season the Panthers were called out by coach John Fox. "I told these guys not to get overconfident with our 12-4 record of last year, and clearly it looks like we feel we just need to show up to win, and thats never the case in the NFL. I told them going into this week, if your not gonna play hard, we'll find someone that will." When asked about the blockbuster trade of Steve Smith to the Colts Coach Fox replied "No ones safe here, we don't care who you are or what you've done in past years. A number of our guys were in discussion about moving elsewhere, we want guys starting that are gonna give it their all."
The Panthers denied claims that they're trading All Pro Defensive End Julius Peppers, after being quiet in the sack category this year he came up big with two sacks and 4 tackles.
Game Statistics
Bucs: Earnest Graham: 14 yds rushing 97 yards receiving
DeSean Jackson: 75 yds receiving 1 TD
Will Allen: 1 int
Albert Haynesworth: 7 tackles
Panthers: D. Williams: 21 att. 87 yards 2 tds.
J. Stewart: 9 att. 100 yards 1 td
Panthers def: 4 Sacks 4 INTs 1 Forced Fumble.

Yea I know. That one pick I threw with Sanchez when I had drive like 60 yards already, I was just screaming F-bombs over here haha.
I still can't believe the Leon Washington thing. I was just finally using him better, getting more production out of him, and he gets comepletely crushed.
