I think standings is the best way to do it. The worst madden players need the most help, not the worst madden teams. Not that I am trying to say the people at the top are terrible, but generally the top will have worse madden players than the bottom.

i just dont think thats right.. because im a good madden player its even harder for me to make my team good.for instance.. what would have happened if patriots owner sucked.. he would have got to pick up good free agents? idk just kinda weird.. i think it should be a lotery system.. like in real life. free agents dont join bad teams. they join teams that best fit there needs. so its usually pretty random where they land. i just think we should make it realistic and make it random.. so that would make a lottery better

the standings is the best way we decided cause its the players that need the help no the teams...plus if u think about it all 32 people will get a 70+ player out of FA so it really wont matter too much if ur guy is a 79 or a 74...i understand where Dom is coming from but the Bears guy needs more help than u cause u r doing pretty good with what u got...

You need to take schedule difficulty into account to then. Some teams have had to play some great teams in the first 6 weeks, whereas other teams had some mediocre opponents. For it to be fair I think we need to go in the order of last year's standings/draft in the real NFL.

2. When is this draft going to start and how long are we allowing teams to pick so this doesnt drag on like the one in the other league I am in the same team has been on the clock for six days?

No, that's wrong. PF and PA at this point in the season is only indicative of the user's ability to call plays and make adjustments. Right now I am 3-2 with wins over the Bills, Broncos, and winless Bengals. I have a very good chance of finishing this year with less than 5 wins because the rest of my schedule is very hard. But because I had a lucky win and wins over two poor teams I am being punished because I got off to a good start? I just don't see the logic. As the season goes on and injuries start taking their toll they are going to have a larger effect on me, than say a team like the Giants or Patriots, who are very highly rated and have more depth.

People should just start picking now if we want to finish this in a timely fashion. Everyone should submit a list to Radie. The 2nd person to pick should submit a 2 person list, the 30th person to pick should submit a 30 person list, not very hard and the draft will basically be done before it even starts.

we will advance in an hour or 2 and they will get simmed if unplayed...radie or i will be ontop of all users to get picks in asap but the browns owner had a good idea people should send a list to raide or myself with a player for each pick from most wanted to least and they get the highest player on there list...

I am being punished because the level of talent on my team isn't indicative of my record because of the level of opponents I have played thus far. The Panthers are 1-4 right now but all of their losses have been very close. Their record doesn't reflect how good he is as a player and how good his team is. It's only fair to go based off of last years NFL records and use the real draft order for this season because the talent level on the teams in Madden were based off of last season. It's only fair to use the current records once the season is over because right now it is just too small of a sample size.

Also why does it matter if the draft pick got traded in real life? That's pretty pointless to include in this discussion.

I am against being forced to release players too, but it is simpler than a salary cap system.

I'm for the random generator to be done and no one can complain..

Problem with this is that the top teams have an equal chance to end up with the top picks. I think standings is the best way to do it as it is the most simple to do. Taking into account schedule just isn't realistic because it would be way too hard for one person to go through every teams games to see who had the tougher schedule.

I think its the easier way too is to just go off current rankings and let it be, its not really going to benefit anyone to pick good players they dont need on their team. Trades are over for the season and most of the players are pretty old and wont bring much in the next season...

If you REALLY wanna get into it, its not fair for the teams who have had their byes to those that haven't.. 2-3 teams get the edge on 3-3 teams, 3-3 teams get the edge or 3-2 teams, and so on...but thats just how it goes...

Im Coming back on SAT so I'll be able to get my game in then. As for the draft just give me the highest rated defense player when it's my pick.

What I would really like is as soon as people read this SEND ME A LIST OF PLAYERS FROM MOST to LEAST WANTED and when ur pick comes ill take the first person on ur list that is avail...note if u pick 22nd make sure there are 22 people on ur list!!! I think this would work the best and fastest!!!
