Anyone seen this documentary yet? It came out a few weeks ago, will be on Itunes for rental next week, possibly on Netflix now.
I have to tell you, all these years, I thought dude was a monster, but after watching this doc, I have a new found respect for the man. Of course he made some mistakes and he clearly acknowledges them ALL in this film, but he also has some pretty valid points regarding how his life has unfolded. If you are ANY type of boxing fan, past, present or future, this is at least a rental.
He's like a totally different man now that he's clean and has put boxing behind him. Of course there are some motor skill issues he has as well as a fixation on sex that he acknowledges, but overall, great film
I live in the home of Ali, where he's pushed day in and out as the "Greatest of All Time". After watching this, seeing Tysons speed and power that most of us have forgotten or allowed his demons to overshadow, Ill be the first to say the he was the greatest boxer, EVER. Watch it and you'll see what Im talking about.

In his early workouts, Im tellin' ya, all I seen was a blur. And he wasnt just doing the bag or sparring, he was doing all sorts of punchs, jabs, uppercuts, hooks and body movement and it was crazy fast. Plus, his accuracy and power was something that I think people but on the back burner due to their fear of him. He was dead on with Id say 75% of his punches, mostly in the first three rounds. The doc goes into the fact that he has a lung condition and how it affected his fights that DID last past the 6th or so, he said he was winded and his power wasnt there, which was directly due to loss of oxygen. Crazy doc

NO lie, when I saw the Zombie tag in the corner and the punch coming, I was half expecting to see the guys head come off.
Damn I miss Tyson fights, atleast with him I knew there would be some powerful punches thrown. Not some weak jab that goes for a KO like nowadays :wanker:
This was the demise of poor Iron Mike

I continue to be amazed at those 2 clips and it brought to mind the old "Would let Mike Tyson punch you for X amount of Dollars"...lol
After watching that body shot that would make me either shit or throw up on myself and that remove your head from your shoulders uppercut... my answer remains at a firm HELL NO!.

Whats funny is that when they were going through their divorce and all of it was on TV, they were laid up in hotels screwing watching it all unfold. He said everything she said was a lie in that Barbara Walters interview they did together and he couldnt say anything or it would pretty much back up her claims of him being verbally abusive. He said he couldnt believe the lies she was saying and couldnt believe he just sat there like a punk and didnt take up for himself. He genuinely loved that girl, but he said he was a bigot and she was a gold digger and it would never have worked out
You guys should watch it

Finished watching it not long ago, entertaining no doubt and like 'Sider mention it does bring to light why Tyson is the way he is. Funny how my girlfriend came in the room when he was doing his monologue/poem about woman and sex.
And I applaud Tyson for keeping his composure when Givens put him on blast like that. I almost wanted to shake the broad myself.
