Hey guys.. Sorry for the few days of nothing...

A good budyy just started a business and I have been working hard for him making a website and setting up his shit... It sounds cruel, but basically I dont get paid to be the commish for the VNFL so I had to set my priorities.

I figured we would be done with everything by mid-day Wednesday. Obviously that was not the case. We didnt finish until last night. TO make matters even worse, I been battling (and winning) flu-like symptoms... I am not sick exactly, but have been very weak and tired the last 2 days.

Long story short.. I will get my game in and advance later tonight... I contacted jm031 and will set it up with him.

As a side note... we are getting an extra day anyway because Nawcor is going to be MIA until Tuesday. So really we are just sliding the schedule back a day. Note that Nawcor did the perfect thing in letting me know ASAP.. so that we can plan for the missed advancement on Monday.. This is something that i have said will be done from the begining... and I think the new schedule plays very nicely into allowing for easier extensions. And by that I mean.. less painful ones.

Also, to let you know I am working my way through the forums and will reply to things as I go. I am catching up on a lot of things (not just the VNFL) as I have been MIA from just about everything for the past 4 days, so bear with me as it might take me a little bit.

Sometimes I use the forum and other times Live works just fine. If there was an issue though, I wouldn't just disappear when everyone was waiting on me. That's why it's kind of frustrating to wait so long because it's all so unnecessary.

I think we need an interm-commish to run the league advancement of weeks and handle inactive players. The three people who have constant inactivity have been complained about probably since week 3 ATLEAST and they are still here. IMO No forum activity = inactive owner. You cant expect people to hunt you down on XBL..

I still want to stay with this league. The issues here are very correctable if we can get Radie to talk about this. I know it's frustrating but if we can get a new commish or if Radie can get back to devoting the time he used to, then things will turn out alright.

It's always darkest before the dawn, and I know things are in the shitter right now, but let's not give up just yet.

Totally wrong. You missed the whole subject with your post. We shouldn't have to go join another league because Radie doesn't have the time to run the league properly. Everyone joined under the pretense that it would be advanced twice a week, on time. We as a league voted on these times best to fit the league.

It sounds like you are referring to yourself in your post how you take your time. The majority of the people here are avid football fans / madden players. We join leagues to play madden, not find ways to waste our time waiting to play.

Everyone here doesn't have a PROBLEM with Radie. Everyone here has a problem with how the league is being maintained and Radie doesn't have the time. He admitted before he didn't have the time but said he had things straight, now its a repeat of the same thing. He hasn't been able to play pretty much ANY of his games, if that was ANY of us we would have been booted a long time ago. I am still active and I am on my second vacaion in a month. Anyone can take time out of their day to spend 10-15 minutes to make a post :)

Radie and the co-commisioners have already talked about this way back in week 2 and 3. So if Radie ever needs to let one of us take over until he is able to take over and maintain completely, we will be ready. So no reason to nominate someone new when the three co-comissioners are ready if we are needed to do so.

It is as easy for me to get ahold of Radie, as it is for you. Nothing I can do about it unless he gives Commisioner status to Harmon, Jzal8, or me. If either of us got the status, we would advance on time. All three of us do our parts as co-commisioners, and we would be ready if Radie needed us to take over.

We have very inactive people who don't get on the forum and are caught by luck on XBL. They need to be replaced..

I understand that we have at least two owners who need to be replaced, which means that we need three new team owners. Look guys.. most people need to chill just a tad... I am not asking you to hold your concerns.. just take it back a bit...

I appreciate the interest in the league. A lot of people talk loud on here and would seam to be the majority, but I have gotten quite a few PMs about how much people like that I dont rush stuff.

I am amazed at how often someone will be acting completely nice to me on IM while at the same time ripping me apart on the forums... The worst part is that it often is really just not called for.

I am all about critique... I really am. I am the last guy to stick with something just because I dont want to take the advice of others. But so often it just delves into bitching and not anything helpful at all.

As I tried to explain to someone the other day... I really only went MIA for 4 days or so twice so far. Both times no one would have noticed if it hadnt been that we happen to lose owners during that time. During both of my hiatuses, if it had been a simple matter of signing on and advancing, then I obviously could have done it. Remember in the early weeks I had to carry my 360 about 15 blocks to a buddies house just to advance twice. I surely would have done it if that was all it was.. But that isnt what it was.. I had to (and still have to) find new owners. But like I said, if those weeks had gone off without a hitch, you wouldnt even have noticed I was gone.

I dont want posts thanking me all the time but I do want people to understand the facts before they start complaining... Lets talk about the waiting on replacement owners... How many have we had.. 4 or 5? Now think about how much cumulative time was spent waiting on new owners... before this last week, the count would be in the HOURS, not DAYS. But does that get the attention? No! The one time it does cause a delay and all of a sudden, it's a problem. Do you see what I mean?

Unless you are trying to do it.. you really cant understand how every issue is really 10 issues. And yes, though most of them are small, it really adds up and it never stops. Again, this is an explanation and not a complaint. I wouldnt have started this if I wasnt willing to do it, I could just do without the assumptions that this is easy and without hassle.

I am not complaining because ideally you guys shouldnt know about that stuff anyway. That means I am taking care of things enough. I just wish people would really think things out more before throwing rocks.

With all this said.. There will be some changes in store that will be announced very shortly that will make many people happy.

I really hope I am not coming off as too bitchy in this post. I truly do appreciate the care that everyone puts into this league.

One last thought that I hope people will remember when moving forward... As I said, I was MIA this week because I was working on some business stuff with a buddy... We ran long because we took the time to do it right, and that was always the intention with this thing as well. I know the delays were super annoying for some.. but I swear that only about 5% of it was laziness/whatever and that the other 95% was so that things wouldnt be half-assed.
