It's been a LONG TIME since I had a bad experience playing someone online. I always play guys I know so that lends itself to good solid games.
Last night was another matter.
None of you know this guy and they are not in our league... here's how it went down.
First the lag was HORRIBLE. So bad it completely screwed up my passing game. It was like I was playing in the rain. Balls missing guys, Bouncing off guys. Hard to explain but it was unreal. Then when I ran the ball my guys were none responsive. They would not respond right away to my button presses and his guys seemed to warp over to them.
Needless to say I was frustrated. Thing is I did not realize how bad the lag was until he was already up 17-0. I figured it would clear up but it got worse. So with him up it would look bad if I complained about lag and quit. So I sit through this guy pounding me into submission. He was just cheese. Not going to go into exactly what he does but it was crap.
So 4th quarter comes around. I'm taking the lag, his cheese, and the beatdown... 44-0!!! I think it was under 2 minutes in the game. I was fully committed to finishing the game and he gets the ball. He proceeds to march down the field and get 1st and goal. Now that alone irritated me but he got in the Wildcat and for three straight plays ran it. I stopped him all three plays with 1 yard to spare. So on 4th down and goal from the 1 yardline, up 44-0, with just a couple minutes on the clock, guess what he does.... He went for it!!! I first call a time out to give him a second to think about it... but he did it anyway. QB sneak... TD.
The moment he crossed the line I hit pause and quit the game.
I'm all good being sportsman like.... I'll take a beating..... but that kind of play is just wrong.
