This is a terrible move. I'd much rather go to FOX.com and watch Fringe than paying for it on Hulu. They're going to lose so much traffic by doing this.

Fuck me, just when I discovered the greatness that is PlayOn.

My Hulu with Playon never works anyway.

Wonder if Fancast.com will follow suit...?
I'll still watch the free stuff and download the stuff they charge for.
No biggie.

I read the original Broadcasting and Cable article associated with this story (Not the Entertainment Weekly piece) and Chase Carey never said anything about Hulu beginning to charge next year.
"Carey, who says he’s only been to one Hulu board meeting since arriving at News Corp., suggests there is still no timeline but supposes it’s at least in 2010."
Supposing something after one meeting isn't saying "2010 it will happen." He just said a subscription fee based model is in their future, and something they're looking into, but never mentioned a date. I wondered why EW even reported something like this, or anyone else picked it up.

People dont realize that they can just go on the broadcasting channels sites to watch full shows there.

True, but I prefer to watch shows on my TV (via PlayOn or TVersity Pro) so when I forget to DVR something or if I'm trying to catch up on older shows, Hulu is great for that. Plus the millions of classic TV shows on there, there's always something to watch.
