Which Madden 06 did they give a 7.4? I thought 06 on PS2 was the best one ever. The 360 version was garbage.

Two 9.0 reviews out for this game so far. Their online impressions seem a little different than Fred's tho, concerning the lag issue.

easy solution to laggy rosters, set em on the main menu. but i do know that even in ncaa if the rosters were laggy it didnt mean anything, even in lag free games the menus would lag

Fred, I would suggest doing a core review and coming up with a score, and then an online review, and an "Adjusted for Online Play" score

That is shocking, does EA have more money and hookers to give out this year to reviewers or what, I am also surprised that 1 ups review is up, most the time it's really small gaming sites that have there reviews out so early with ea games atleast.

nah not yet, which is why im waiting to finish my review of the game. i'll be playing more guys this weekend. i know pasta is getting his game so we'll run a few.

i just completed my review, its being edited. then i will write the online portion of the review and final analysis and post the full review. those who know my reviews should expect a ton of little details.

Yeah if I was reviewing based on my limited time with the game and the online play aspect, I'd be looking in the high 8 area. The game is still deeper than any other sports game out there but it does have flaws.

We've actually always had smooth games though. Although I could say the same thing about some other guys I play and then NCAA even screwed that up lol. We'll see how it goes, but I wouldn't base online performance just off of our games. Unless they're bad. That would be a sign of a situation even worse off than last year pre-patch

Better yet, I don't get how such a large company could not deliver lag-free gameplay to their biggest money-maker out there. Baffling.

Playing four quarters across the Internet was pretty much lag-free, and die-hard football fans should enjoy the "NFL News" tab that gives you access to tons of news articles and ESPN clips.

Well thats EA's job to put issues back into the game, so the next year they can come up with some bs about no lag on the back of the cover. NCAA actually hasn't been terrible for since the first few days.
