Hey guys, the local EB Game's are holding their madden tournament here in Green Bay tomorrow (August 11th). I'm basically thinking up game plans and strategy for it as 1st place gets a free copy of madden.
I'm personally thinking of going one of two ways, one is with the Bronco's because of their corners + strong defense. I like their receiving core and TE, but my problem with the Broncos is their RB. Travis Henry, I'm not much of a power runner, I like elusiveness and speed, my strategy with them is overload blitz constantly and then shut down their offense then air it out on offense. When I say air it out, i don't mean aggressively, just take the short gains and advance with running on an occasional 1st down and all 3rd and short downs.
The other choice I'm thinking is the Ravens with their dominant D and above average corners, with the same strategy on D. Offense would be more of a pound game instead of throwing more, I'd probably run 60% and pass 40, of course the majority of passes to Heap, also I'd use the screen to the left occasionally, as their left side O-line is a wrecking crew.
Just wanted to hear any other strategy/team's I should be looking at.
I prefer to use quick teams with an excellent D, lets see, I don't use the 3-4 as my primary D because I haven't been able to utilize it as well as the 4-3 so a Defense like the Chargers wouldn't really work too well. Typically I ideally run 55% and pass 45%. Also, tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
