LOL! Gotta bring the Irish back to respectability, BABY! Got to respect the green uniforms. Which is honestly one of the reason I picked the Irish. That and they sucked duck last year. This should be fun. :) Take it easy on Clausen, he's only a sophmore.

mikesa_tx:
My man! How's it been? Good to hear from you, we tore those SG dynasty boards up 2 years ago. You went MIA last year. Hey I might not be the best player but atleast I'll try to look good.:)

Hey Coco you might not have all the top rated players now but Notre Dame is set up for a lot of growth in the near future in this game. Also recruiting with 6 stars is a big advantage.

Luck of the Irish or luck of a slacker schedule?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/cocorita4/Clausenfrontpage08.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/cocorita4/Aldridgefrontpage08.png
Forget what you've remembered about last year's dismal season. "This is a new season, a fresh start" claims Sophomore stud quarterback Jimmy Clausen.
Offense:, the Irish will ride the arm of Sophomore Jimmy Clausen. Clausen showed up 20 pounds heavier and looks ready to take the physical beating from opponents. The Irish have 3 solid running backs lead by Impact Player James Aldridge. They are also sporting a young talented line that will be beneficial for future success. The line is anchored by 6'8" 330 pd junior right tackle Sam Young. The receiving corps is led by 6'5" sophomore Duval Kamara. Not far behind are freshmen Michael Floyd and Deion Walker.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/cocorita4/Crumfrontpage08.png
Defense:, the Irish have talent but no depth. Maurice Crum Jr. will be the heart and sole of this team. Budding talents Brian Smith and Kerry Neal will make for a stellar linebacker core. Notre Dame's defensive backs seem to be the strongest part of the defense. Led by free safety David Brutton and cornerback Darrin Walls will anchor the defense for the Irish.
Special Teams:, this is where the Irish need to get some help. Kicker, Sophomore Brandon Walker will be a concern after going 6 of 12 field goals his freshmen year. " if I can just stay consistent this year, I'll be an asset to the team." stated Miller during Spring drills. Eric Maust should do a solid / respectable job as the punter this year.
The Verdict:
The Irish have the talent to contend and a soft enough schedule to make a strong run at a Bowl Game this year. It truly depends on how fast and how soon this talented group of speciality players will blossom and mature.

South Bend, Indiana -(AP) One of the oldest rivalries in College Football, Michigan versus Notre Dame. Both programs are still building up from a forgettable 2007 season. But promise is in the horizon for both these great football institutes.
In a nutshell, the Irish defense set the tone early in the game with an interception on the first play of the game. Clausen had another solid game and is showing signs of maturity in the pocket and out. Michigan could not do anything right on offense and the 3 turnovers did not help them either. The Irish were the better team this day by a mile. Michigan will have a lot of growing pains this year and today's game was one of them. The Irish looked impressive in the air even though Michigan took away most of there running game."It felt good to be able to go to the air and kept there defense on there heels" stated Clausen after the game. The Irish will play another huge rivalry next week as they visit the Spartans of Michigan State.

How Bout 'EM IRISH! NOTRE DAME CRUSHES BC 45-7
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/cocorita4/clasuentool08.png Boston, Mass (AP) - The surprisingly not ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish went to Boston College not only to prove a point but to show everyone that America's team is back! "It was over before it really began" stated Coach Jeff Jagodzinski. He is referring to Notre Dame's 21 points in the first quarter. "We started hot and never looked back, it was a complete game" stated Game MVP tailback Armando Allen. Sophomore Jimmy Clausen looked impressive and more important consistent. After the game Calusen remarked " We've got the tools to win now." The defense was furious all game as they held BC to only 1 score the whole game. "This was an open and shut case, we came here with a chip on our shoulder and we showed what we can do when we play like a team" uttered James Aldridge. The Irish have navy next week. When asked if his team should be in the top 25 next week, Weis said "We have Navy to worry about, I'll let you guys worry about that stuff." The Irish try not to over look there next 2 opponents while thinking about the huge USC game.
