My internet connection keeps on fading in and out. I'll finish my recruiting in the morning.

It appears as if my ethernet cord is broken. The top of it where it clicks, the tab you press down on broke off.

Is there a way to replace that top of the cord or do I need a whole new ethernet cord?

you can put on a new whole tip if you know what you're doing. If you don't, just buy a new cable. It's easier and less time consuming.

just stick a piece of paper in it if you don't want to buy a new one.

he means wedge it tight with a peace of paper, so it won't fall out...I would just go and buy a new cable. They are under around $10 I guess.

That will not interfere with connection?

The paper? no because its not a conductor...electricity cannot flow through it. it is simply forcing the connection tight, so it won't fall out. Just don't force it too tight and break something, i would still recommend buying a new cable.
