Like many other people Weis was disappointed in last year. "I feel like this team has a lot of talent and can get a lot better very quickly". How does he plan to turn it around? Lets look at the impact players.

Fighting Irish win
Notre Dame is Buzzed following a 49-9 win over San Diego State

It was what was expected as the favored Irish won convincingly over the Aztecs Saturday The defense was stout not allowing a single touch down and Clausen looked sharp completing 9 or 11 for 175 yards and 3 touchdowns, but it was Aldridge that stole the show.

Aldridge ran for a cool 144 yards on 17 carries and 3 touchdowns in route to being named player of the game.

Michigan push Notre Dame to the limit
Irish win a thriller in South Bend 27-21
After looking helpless to stop the new spread offense the first two series the defense stiffened, and refused to allow another score.
After throwing 3 picks Clausen recovered enough to lead his team down the field with 2 minutes to go for the go ahead score. With out a doubt the player of the game was Tate who returned a kick off for a touchdown to tie the game up after Michigan's opening drive.

Yeah I think that's actually skill. I think if I played Michigan now I'd do a lot better. I was forcing some passes I shouldn't have. Every game since then has been pretty easy. I'm gonna post up those. I have played UNC last. Hope to post a couple more updates tonight. How is the recruiting for you?

Notre Dame wins big at MSU
Aldridge carries team in the rain.
The defense was amazing. The running game was fantastic, but the real story is questions about Clausen still remain. 19-26 for 170 and 2 TD's isn't bad it's the two interceptions that were troublesome. One of them gave the Spartans the only points they got all game long. Which had Wies slamming his headset on the ground screaming something about never getting that shutout achievement. Aldridge looked amazing on 27 carries he pounded the MSU defense for 196 yards and two TD's.

"I knew that in the rain I needed to step up and not fumble the ball," Aldridge said after the game. "It's important that I limit the amount of mistakes to a minimum. We've got a young qb over there and he's going to make mistakes as he learns. It's our job to make his job easier. I think we did that today."
