You'll also notice the name Jefferey Lieber on the "Created by" credit. He wrote a pilot that was never used, but because he was originally commissioned for the pilot, he's in the credits. (Lieber make 6 figures a year and has NEVER been involved with the show.) Abrams only involvement in the show since Season 1 is co-writing the Season 3 premiere. He even talked about it on Jimmy Kimmel once. "Early in Season 1, Abrams was busy with producing and directing Mission: Impossible III. When Damon Lindelof was considering quitting Lost due to the sudden burden, Carlton Cuse talked him out of leaving and and joined the show's staff as an executive producer.[3] From this point on, Abrams stopped being directly involved with the show." That's from Lostpedia. |

Enjoyed having this show back. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the continuing power struggle between Fringe division and everyone else. I did enjoy the ending with the CIA guy and his last line about what happened when he woke up.
It's too bad that the ratings for this show continue to fall. Its among my top shows on TV, but I don't think Thursday is the best night for it with Grey's, the Office/30 Rock, etc.

I agree. It shined on Tuesday nights. But against The Office and 30 Rock it really has no chance.

Man, my DVR didn't record it this week because it thought there was another World Series game on. That could be a reason for a big ratings drop this week. My cable company has millions of subscribers.
Thank God for NinjaVideo.

Another good episode yesterday. I didn't expect the boy to be the one with the mind control power. The 2 guys cast for the car salesman were perfect for the role of a kidnapper. I'm really excited by the ending as well and to learn more about the Observer next week.
It's also good to see the ratings bump up after last week's poor performance. Hopefully we get to see that trend continue.

This show just continues to get better. The Observers are the perfect combination of creepy, cool, and unexplainable. I just hope Abrams continues to give answers along the way so as to not fall into the trap that Lost inevitably will have when the series wraps: too many questions that were never answered.
The one thing I'm very interested in knowing is what makes Peter and Olivia so unique (i.e. what happened to them as children). Last edited by Bates; 11-19-2009 at 08:08 PM. |
