The name change to Connected Franchise is accompanied by a whole new career path in Madden NFL 25. For some time Owner mode has appeared to be what will determine most the value of this year's edition in the series at least in terms of new features. What follows is a run-through of the Owner mode experience. There simply was not enough time to analyze every feature included within, but instead this represents a general overview of how the mode shapes up and its potential lasting appeal. E...

For every positive though there seems to be something dragging it down from potential excellence. Features aren't completely fleshed out, gameplay looks and feels chaotic, and legacy issues remain unaddressed. Make sure to check out the detailed walkthrough of Connected Franc...

In recent years the NCAA Football series has lacked ambition, innovation, and even proper execution of features. Coming off two very weak efforts EA Sports needed to reestablish the NCAA Football franchise as something other than an also-ran to Madden. What used to be an innovative series has been anything but in recent years - and when trying for new features they've failed miserably with the implementation and their assessment of what consumers truly desired out of the product. While NCAA Football 14 doesn't break any new ground actual effort is immediately recognized in areas that have desperatel...

Your Turn Football has been out for about a week and in that time has become the sole game being played on my phone. The competitive nature of the turn-based gameplay - which has surprisingly produced fairly realistic results on the field and relies on some strategic decisions being made - has proven to be addictive and fun. There is probably no better way to discover how the CPU plays in a sports game than letting two AI controlled teams go head-to-head and thus avoiding any user influence. Doing so obviously does not provide much insight into how a game will perform in a head-to-head pairing but instead is useful for learning where there may be holes in the AI primarily relating to single player. The first game that was set up and recorded was a fantastic example of the value that comes with examining a CPU...

Here are some basic impressions from the first day being on the show floor of E3 which featured prominently the upcoming EA Sports games. The company shut down any recording of the games at their booth so unlike past years the number of videos and images coming out will be limited. Included at the end of this piece are the short videos of Madden NFL 25 captured before that point as the taking of them had been approved to begin the day. Thoughts on all the games will be expanded upon in ...
