Upcoming NCAA Football 10 Online Dynasties

ncaafootball100702

Last year we had a successful online dynasty which was very enjoyable and allowed me to post occasional updates to the site on its progress. That will happen again this year but with more availability because there will be multiple ongoing site related dynasties. Here are the details on them and how to sign-up if you are interested in participating.

Introducing the Pastapadre Ninjas

After a few days of voting it is time to declare the winner of the NCAA Football 10 Teambuilder community team creation. Kyhadley’s Ninjas jumped out of the gate and the others never were able to challenge in the voting. Kyhadley will be receiving a copy of NCAA 10 and I will be awarding some of the community who put a lot of time into making teams as well. Masta Solidus, MannyBeltre, and LVradio will get a copy of the game too. Thanks to everyone who made the effort of creating a potential Pastapadre team!

Look for the team to download when the game is released by searching the name hadpats9. The roster is made up of forum community members. After downloading you’ll be able to edit the team as desired. This is the team that will be used by myself in the community website online dynasty! Continue on to see the uniforms, field and current roster.

Spots Open in Online Dynasty

There are now several spots open in the PP NCAA Football 09 online dynasty and I’m hoping to take on a few new owners. We are currently about 3/4 of the way through the second season and advancing at a rate of about every other night. You can check up on the dynasty through EASW at this link and putting in pastapadre as the commissioner (though the game results are often displayed with reverse outcome).

For anyone who is interested in joining the dynasty (360) leave your gamertag in the comments and top three preferred teams. Please understand that the dynasty will continue to move at about the pace of every other night with little deviance from that. If tasks remain uncompleted they will be simmed through and if an owner hasn’t attended to their team after a few weeks they’ll be removed. Also any teams currently in the dynasty’s Top 10 are not eligible to be chosen by new owners and I am hoping to keep things balanced to create as few head-to-head games as possible.

So I would place any new members with the team from their top three that would make for the best fit. Should you be taken on as a new owner I’ll send a message through XBL when the invite has been sent.

Online Dynasties Now Viewable on EASW

The EA Sports World functionality that allows an online dynasty in NCAA Football 09 to be viewed online has is available now. You can go directly to the NCAA Football 09 online dynasty page of EASW by clicking here.

This has apparently been functioning for a few weeks now, however it appears that you are left hanging when in the off-season portion of the dynasty. The page will just show a constant “loading” message. If it isn’t going to display anything during the off-season then they really should have some sort of notification when pulling it up on the website. As it is now it just makes it seems as though the feature doesn’t work. Once in the preseason you get the message that “this dynasty has not yet started” which at least lets you know it’ll be showing up once advancing into the regular season.

What can you view from the website? Just the basic information that you would be able to see from dynasty central in the game. Records, tasks, and games for the week as either complete or incomplete. Even though it isn’t offering more (such as being able to look through statistics) it is a welcome addition making for a much more convenient way to check on the status of a dynasty rather than having to fire up the game to do so. Just know that the result of games on display are reversed. So if a user team won 34-20 it’ll show it as “Loss 20-34″.

PP Online Dynasty Update Weeks 7-10

With the new patch out the hope was that the ability to view dynasties on EA Sports World would be ready to go, but alas that appears to still be a few weeks off from happening. For anyone who will be interested there may be a couple slots opening up once the first season is completed. Make sure to monitor the forum for any news on that.

There are now only a few weeks to go until the Conference Championships, Bowl games, and the awards being handed out. Things are shaping up for an exciting conclusion to the season. So here is the latest on where the teams stand in the Pastapadre Online Dynasty.

Pastapadre Online Dynasty Update Weeks 3-6

The Pastapadre Online Dynasty has now advanced through week six, thankfully without experiencing any more major catastrophes. Arizona State was able to pull off a nail-biter of an upset over top ranked Georgia, but Clemson remains the highest ranking team at #4. In the first head-to-head game of the year it was Illinois coming out on top over Penn State to take control of the Big 10. The upcoming game for Illinois against still undefeated Indiana looms large for that conference.

As teams have continued to show dominance over the CPU the upcoming patch that will fix sliders will likely lead to adjustments next season. But for the rest of this year we’ll be rolling on as is. Continue to view the latest standings, Heisman Watch, recruiting update, and the big games ahead for the next three weeks.

Pastapadre Online Dynasty Update Weeks 1-3

Once the Pastapadre Online Dynasty was resurrected it was back to concentrating on playing. The non-functioning screenshot uploading feature (which seems to be an isolated problem just occurring with the OD ones) had delayed this first recap in the hopes that it would be fixed. But as it has not I wanted to update on the first three weeks anyway and bring everyone up to speed on where things are at.

The top rated team currently is Clemson at #8 and four other teams are in the top 25. Only two teams have losses on their record but as the schedule progresses and the vastly over-matched FCS teams become no longer a factor the potential to see more teams taking a hit will be there. Week four is already open and you can follow along throughout the dynasty in the forum.

Pastapadre Online Dynasty Preparations

With the official release of NCAA Football 09 finally here the start of the highly anticipated Pastapadre Online Dynasty is nearing. Here is a look at the early preparations as things get underway.

The dynasty was easy enough to set up. Heading into the Xbox Live section is where you’ll find the area to continue an online dynasty in progress, create a new one, or take over as commissioner for a different dynasty. After choosing to begin a new one you’ll come across the opportunity to adjust the settings and sliders as well as send the invites out. Those don’t necessarily have to be done at that time as the commish is able to change those and add/drop owners at their convenience.
