A fifth patch arrived today for EA Sports UFC. Unlike the previous four this one does not include any sweeping changes to gameplay or various other improvements. It's essentially just the 3 additions to the roster bringing the total fighters that have been added post-release to 14. Myles Jury (lightweight), Yoel Romero (middleweight), and Andrei Arlovski (heavyweight) have been introduced in the latest update. They're rated 91, 89, and 89 respectively. Those numbers don't tell you much t...

It's long been the norm for sports games to receive a patch for release day. In many cases publishers don't reveal the details of the updates, as they now view the release + patch as the final consumer product. Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 arrived today and Konami actually promoted in a press release what makes up the patch that accompanies it. KONAMI has also prepared a day one download for PES 2015, which will ensure that 93 new kits will appear authentically in the game, while eight (8) mo...

Expected out soon for the Xbox One and PS4, and already available for those on PC, the first patch for NBA 2K15 attempts to address some issues discovered since release of the game. After initially only mentioning that there would be a fix for people getting booted out of MyPark 2K Sports has now released a list of what else to expect from the update. Given the timing it's no surprise that the patch is essentially just implementing some quick fixes for mostly minor bugs rather than making...
  • Second Patch Already Here for FIFA 15
    by
    Posted October 20th, 2014 at 3:00 pm 2 Comments »
To the surprise of many a new patch for FIFA 15 went out today. It was unexpected if only for the timing - the first patch went out last Tuesday. It's available now on PS4 and expected out on Xbox One likely tomorrow. This update doesn't appear to be one that incorporates a great deal of community feedback and usually that doesn't come around until early-mid November. Already there are some complaints about the lack of fouls being seen post-patch which many seem to feel has been reduced ...

Server issues have dominated discussion related to NBA 2K15 since it released last week. Not only have modes like MyPark and MyTeam failed to work properly in part due to the servers, and online games affected by troublesome input lag, but modes that would be considered by most as offline like MyCareer and MyGM have been impacted. Today 2K Sports announced that a patch has been submitted to Sony and Microsoft that will at least address some of the related issues. #NBA2K15 patch has been ...
  • Details on First FIFA 15 Patch

The first patch for FIFA 15 is already available on PC and expected on PS4 and Xbox One in the "near future". Given the quick turnaround time - the game has only been out two weeks - the update will naturally address the more pressing type of issues identified early or application of quick fixes rather than dig into community feedback for improvements in gameplay, presentations, or the various modes. That type of patch would probably be another month or so away based on track record from pas...

Despite frustration from some consumers EA Sports was not actually behind schedule in terms of releasing the first patch for Madden NFL 15. Anticipation has been high for it however and updates did arrive today on PS4, Xbox One, 360, and PS3. That puts it ahead of the typical time frame for the first big patch with them having landed in previous years in mid-late October. The patch applies fixes to the offline Connected Franchise that had already gone through as server-side updates for on...
