The fifth roster update for Madden 09 is planned to be out as early as tomorrow, but as we've learned from previous update delays it would probably be a good idea not to count on it until Monday. Some changes include the Falcons offensive line benefiting from Michael Turner's exceptional play this year, ratings hits to Pacman Jones and Devin Hester, and several adjustments to quarterbacks based on their performances or early season benchings.

The fourth roster update for Madden 09 is currently set to be out later today. EA is attempting to release an update every week now and that consistency is welcome. Here is the complete list of changes for the third Madden 09 roster update. There are some ratings adjustments, though just one week of play won't correspond to a significant difference. Madden producer Phil Frazier has informed me that the second roster update for 09, which did not arrive as scheduled over the weekend, is now out for both the 360 and PS3. Apparently there were several bugs that were caught in testing that had to be ironed out first before going through yet another round of testing. This update will be the same as originally detailed.
Because of the big events from week one such as Tom Brady's injury and subsequent placement on the IR another roster updat...

Never would I have imagined the news of the second roster update for Madden 09 would turn into such a dramatic event. With EA stating that the update would be out sometime today people were ready to grab it just in time for the opening Sunday slate of NFL games. As time passed and the possibility of it not arriving today became more and more apparent the frustration erupted resulting in the second most commented article in the history of the site. While much of that sentiment is justified so...

Madden 09 Release Day Roster Update
EA Sports has released the breakdown of all the changes within the roster update for Madden 09 that will be out by (or on) release day*. An update has already been done taking care of many of the changes that are detailed even as they continue to add to the upcoming one to make it the most accurate possible.
*The update came out on 8/8
Last year there was an average of just below two updates a month which would seem sufficient. The problem was a long painful stretch from mid-November t...
