Madden NFL 12 Opens With Impressive First Week Sales Numbers
Sales of the Madden NFL franchise continue to climb - along with its digital revenues. Madden NFL 12's opening week displayed a sales increase of 10% over Madden 11 and in doing so is now showing consistent growth as it's tracking 19% over Madden 10's early haul. NCAA Football 12 Tops July Sales Charts
There were several notable developments that came with the release of NPD's official sales numbers for July. Overall it was the weakest performance for video game sales since 2006 and NCAA Football 12 easily took first place. Encouraging Early Sales Numbers Reported for NCAA Football 12
EA Sports today has declared that sales of NCAA Football 12 are up 17% for the first two weeks of release compared to last year. According to their estimates 700K copies have been sold - putting NCAA 11's numbers at the same point at approximately 598K. NCAA 11 went on to sell 667K through the end of August. Sales of NBA 2K11 Reach Ninth Straight Month Charting in Top Ten
Official sales numbers for June have been released and NBA 2K11 came in 7th place for the month and was the only sports title to appear. Its consistency has been startling, topping the charts when released in October and floating between 4th and 10th ever since. With the NBA season complete, the lockout on, and the release of NCAA Football 12 it seems likely to finally fall out of the top ten in July but that won't at all diminish what it has accomplished. Tiger Woods 12 Top Sports Game in April
Having topped the sales charts amongst sports games in four of its first six months of release NBA 2K11 was unseated in April by Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters. The release of Tiger Woods 12 in late March meant the first five days of sales were recorded in that month's NPD where it did not place in the top 10 despite performing well. It clearly got a boost from The Masters (April 7th-10th) along with positive word of mouth and mainstream exposure that had been absent the last few years...
