The Three Top Selling Sports Games of 2012 Continued To Perform Well in January
With no significant new software releases in January the top 10 sales chart remained largely the same. Madden NFL 13, NBA 2K13, and FIFA 13 all placed again following their strong 2012 campaigns where they finished 2nd, 6th, and 10th respectively. The latest sales numbers for North America are in for December and three sports games have made the top 10 not just for the month but for the entire year as well. Madden NFL 13, NBA 2K13, and FIFA 13 have closed out 2012 with strong results that pushed them into place alongside some of the top games in the entire industry. (more...)...

Madden NFL 13 Leads Sales for Sports Games in November
NBA 2K13 set the high sales mark for the series in October with 1.27 million copies, which represented an increase of 19% over NBA 2K11, but it wasn't able to carry the month of November. 2K13 slipped to 8th place for the month (about 480K copies) with Madden NFL 13 moving the most of the sports games coming in 5th place (about 760K copies). NBA 2K13 Tops October in Sales
In what comes as absolutely no surprise NBA 2K13 carried the month of October by topping the sales charts with no other game even close behind. NBA 2K12 was adversely affected by the lockout as sales fell off significantly until the league returned so the proper comparison to make is with 2K11 which opened by moving just over 1 million copies its first month. (more...)...

The past three years have brought about unprecedented growth in sales for the FIFA franchise. Each iteration (both worldwide and in North America) has set new high sales marks only to have them obliterated by the next year's release. NBA 2K13 Opens With Huge Sales Surge
It isn't just the recent EA Sports titles that are finding success on the market lately. Having released earlier this month NBA 2K13 is tracking 49% ahead of NBA 2K11. Given that 2K12 arrived during the league lockout it was important to use 2K11 as the barometer as it held the previous high mark in sales for the series. 2K13 is surpassing even the most optimistic expectations and shows no signs of slowing down. Led By Madden NFL 13 EA Sports Takes Four of Top Ten Sales Spots in September
It's was a huge month for EA Sports with official NPD sales numbers arriving and four of the top ten titles for September coming from the company. Madden NFL 13 finished in 1st, FIFA 13 in 3rd, NHL 13 in 6th, and NCAA Football 13 in 8th.
