    The AMC original series The Walking Dead has already established itself as the biggest show in network cable history.     AMC has announced they have officially renewed the zombie centric comic-adaptation The Walking Dead for a second season. After premiering to huge ratings it held extremely well in last night's second episode which drew 4.7 million viewers and a 2.5 rating in the 18-49 age range.     Last night's premiere of the comic-adaptation series The Walking Dead became AMC's highest rated premiere ever. The show pulled in 5.3 million viewers and a massive 3.6 rating in the crucial 18-49 demo. When including the two replays that immediately followed the total was 8.1 million viewers for the evening.     The highly anticipated zombie series from AMC, The Walking Dead, has already received a renewal for season two. While the show doesn't premiere until Halloween it appears that confidence is so high that audiences will receive it favorably that they are positioning it for the long haul.     AMC has released the teaser that was shown at Comic-Con for the upcoming series The Walking Dead. Running over four minutes the footage was a huge hit with those in attendance and anticipation for the series skyrocketed.
