    A supposedly false rumor has actually resulted in a casting decision being made. Director Michael Bay has decided to sign Mark Wahlberg for a major role in Transformers 4. The news comes just a few days after Bay denied that Wahlberg was involved but also admitted that the rumblings had made him consider bringing him in to the project.     Even though Michael Bay had previously stated the trilogy would be it for him as the directing Transformers it will come as a surprise to very few that he'll be taking the reigns on Transformers 4. Bay made the announcement on his website yesterday.     Deadline is reporting Transformers: Dark of the Moon will return to IMAX theaters starting Friday, August 26th.  Don't wait too long to see it though as it will only be there for two weeks, leaving theaters on Thursday, September 8th.  After that you will have to wait until the DVD/Blu-ray release.     Though it is still running behind the earnings of Revenge of the Fallen domestically, Transformers: Dark of the Moon has set new box office records for the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The records were previously held by Spider-man 2 with Dark of the Moon cruising past them with $97.5 million for the three day weekend and $116.4 million for the four day holiday weekend.
