A supposedly false rumor has actually resulted in a casting decision being made. Director Michael Bay has decided to sign Mark Wahlberg for a major role in Transformers 4. The news comes just a few days after Bay denied that Wahlberg was involved but also admitted that the rumblings had made him consider bringing him in to the project. Nothing is known regarding how Wahlberg will fit in the film. Earlier casting calls suggested the lead human character this time around will be female. Tha...

Even though Michael Bay had previously stated the trilogy would be it for him as the directing Transformers it will come as a surprise to very few that he'll be taking the reigns on Transformers 4. Bay made the announcement on his website yesterday. Transformers: Dark of the Moon made over $1.2 billion worldwide so Paramount was more than happy to sign him to continue the franchise while at the same time allowing him to make his "passion project" Pain and Gain prior to doing so. The resul...

When the film topped the previous two and reached over $1.1 billion worldwide in grosses that became inevitable. The surprising thing now though is the latest word has Bay possibly returning to direct the next two entries in the franchise which would be filmed back-to-back in the same manner that other fr...

  • Review – Transformers: Dark of the Moon

The original Transformers is one of my favorite movies and I feel no shame in admitting that. The nostalgia factor of seeing the adaptation of a show I loved growing up captured me completely and the visuals and action scenes were stunning to witness. Expectation levels were different then, when it exceeded them, compared to the sequel which was primed for a let down. Revenge of the Fallen lost everything that made the first so great as even the action sequences were too convoluted to follow...

Typically films that are worried over poor word of mouth will avoid Wednesday releases as the bad buzz would spread before the weekend. Coming off Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which most found to be a disappointmen...
