Two new videos have been released for NCAA Basketball 10 that focus on the motion offenses. One features the numerous different types of motion offenses with an example of a team that runs each. The other is a tutorial of sorts that explains how the motion offenses are run with the new play calling controls. I really had no idea what was going on in the first video but the second one helps bring it all together. The movement and variation in the different offenses appears to be the main ...
  • NCAA Basketball 10 First Gameplay Videos

Thanks to Gamespot the first videos of actual gameplay are now out for NCAA Basketball 10. Two are from CBS presented games with Michigan @ Boston College and Auburn @ Kansas and one uses the ESPN presentation with Stanford @ Georgetown. Each runs just over a minute long. What I liked outside of the TV replicated presentation was the player movement on offense which looks very active and fluid. The commentary (CBS especially) feels a little empty at times which is probably because this is...

Yesterday was the first first time getting together to play Adidas Live Run games in NBA Live 10. The Pastapadre squad may be 1-13 but no one seemed to mind. It was a fun evening and the one win was ultra-satisfying coming over a team that trash talked in pre-game and touted their being "ranked 13th in the world". You can check out all of the results and stats on the website. There will definitely be future Live Run sessions set up so keep an eye out if you're interested in joining in. G...

The news and videos for NCAA Basketball 10 began just a few days ago but now we have our second video displaying the new presentation in the game. First it was the CBS presentation that was shown. The latest video shows off how ESPN is integrated to mimic the broadcasts that the network provides. Depending on the day of the week or the tournament you'll get the CBS or ESPN presentation in dynasty mode. What I think NCAA Basketball 10 is really nailing here is that presentation isn't about...

In a video released today it has been revealed that NCAA Basketball 10 will integrate the presentation of CBS telecasts. The commentators will be the team of Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery. NCAA Basketball was in dire need of a refreshed experience and a way to differentiate itself from the feel of the the professional basketball games. This definitely appears to be a big step towards doing just that. Continue on to view the new video and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more...)...

EA Sports has released a trailer for NCAA Basketball 10 offering the opportunity for the first look at the game of which very little is known at the moment. We are aware though of what is to be the top 25 rated teams and the top 15 toughest places to play in the game. From the trailer it is learned that Gus Johnson will be associated with the game, however in what capacity is uncertain. Apparently there will be a good deal of info and videos for NCAA Basketball 10 arriving this week. The ...

After posting the full game video of NBA Live 10 on Friday it made sense to next grab some variety. So here are three HD videos showing off different areas of the game. Included are portions of gameplay from a FIBA tournament with the USA vs Spain, a Dynasty mode game with the Warriors @ Hornets, and playoff games with the Magic @ Raptors and Raptors @ Hawks. One of my favorite things, if not my absolute favorite about Live 10 is the atmosphere and arena experience and that comes through no ...

Adidas Live Run enters NBA Live 10 as an evolution of the Online Team Play that has been so successful the last two years. 10 people connect into a single online game with each controlling their own player. With Live Run instead of  OTP taking place in a standard game each person gets to select their position and then player of choice in a game of 21. Live Run has EA Sports World integration which gives each squad their own page. Here is the page for the Pastapadre squad. The site shows ...

Here is the first full game of NBA Live 10 featuring the matchup that won the earlier poll. The Detroit Pistons @ Miami Heat played on All-Star difficulty. From my experience with the game so far 10-12 minute quarters will probably produce the most realistic scores and stats but I'll keep monitoring that. Impressions, screenshots, and more videos to come this weekend. Continue on to watch the videos broken up by quarter and leave your thoughts in the comments! (more...)...
  • NBA 2K10 My Player Impressions

I have a love-hate relationship with career modes in sports titles. I appreciate the ability to control a single player which in turn simplifies the games and presents clear objectives and measurements of success. At the same time I've always come across certain aspects that have soured the overall experience. Those conflicting feelings continue with NBA 2K10's My Player mode. My first thought after spending time with My Player is that it's obviously vastly superior to what was offered wi...
