Josh Brolin To Join ‘Men in Black 3′ Cast?

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Josh Brolin may be joining the cast of Columbia Pictures’ upcoming Men in Black 3. There is no word yet what role he’d fill, and nothing in the way of hints either.
His exact part is a matter of discussion, but in recent days there’s been chatter in Hollywood development circles of a few possibilities: He could play a new single-monikered government agent, with Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent K passing the baton to Brolin’s character. Or he could play Agent K as a young man. Or something else entirely.
The article mentions that Will Smith is expected to return, but in October I mentioned that Smith had not commited. Add to that the news that Tommy Lee Jones hasn’t committed to doing the film either, and you just have quite a few rumors about the film and not much else. The only things we do know at this point are that there will be a Men In Black 3, and it will start shooting in 2010.
