Gus Johnson Made Official for Madden 11

Audio presentation was identified as one of the most disappointing areas of Madden 10 and EA Sports has addressed that for Madden 11 with the replacement of play-by-play announcer Tom Hammond with Gus Johnson. Johnson will now team up doing PBP with Cris Collinsworth as the color man. Though we’ve known about his addition to the game for a month the excitement about the change really hasn’t died down. His inclusion is being received extremely well having garnered 34% of the vote in the poll from a few weeks ago which examined which addition to the game was the favorite.

In conjunction with the announcement EA Sports has also released a new video in the developer series discussing the audio presentation for Madden 11. Along with the discussion is some footage of the game displaying different elements of the presentation such as pre-game and sideline scenes.
