3-D movies are all the craze these days. According to Blue Sky Disney, Lucasfilm will remaster in 3-D and re-release Indiana Jones in theaters.

Next month, Lucasfilm will announce that they’re converting the Indiana Jones Saga to 3D as well. The films will be converted and released in a similar fashion as the Star Wars films with Raiders of the Lost Ark the first out of the gate.

There has been no official announcement yet, but this shouldn’t be a surprise when you consider other Lucasfilm movies are being re-released in 3-D. I highly doubt I’ll pay money to see this in 3-D. It almost annoys me because studios are clearly doing it to make money. I’m just not sure the quality of a remastered movie is worth the price. I wonder how long until the 3-D craze dies down. At this point it’s been overdone that it’s lost it’s appeal for me. There are only a handful of movies I’d pay money to see in 3-D over a standard version.
