Online Battles Detailed for NFL Blitz

EA Sports has posted a blog and accompanying video going over the “Blitz Battles” online mode for the upcoming reboot of NFL Blitz. Featuring head-to-head matches of either 1v1 or 2v2 (on the same console or co-op) the mode includes local, regional, and national leaderboards termed “Battle Boards”.

One unique element here taking it beyond just simple rankings are that points are assigned based on a number of statistical categories rather than just winning or losing. There are also “tiers” of competitors and when enough points are earned the opportunity to play a match to advance into a higher tier presents itself.
