After a lengthy delay due to MGM’s financial troubles and potential sale the 23rd James Bond installment – titled Skyfall – got off the ground towards a release now slated for November 9. The film is being directed by Sam Mendes, returns Daniel Craig in the lead role, and introduces Javier Bardem as the main villain. Skyfall follows up on the 2008 release Quantum of Solace and 2006′s Casino Royale but the plot will be unrelated to both of those movies.
Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
