Actors Rumored To Be In Play for Guardians of the Galaxy Lead

Some casting news is starting to surface for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Screen testing is being done for the lead character of Peter Quill (Star-Lord) with the following names reportedly in consideration: Lee Pace, Joel Edgerton, Jack Huston, Jim Sturgess, and Eddie Redmayne.
Brief synopsis: About a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.
Directed by James Gunn Guardians of the Galaxy is slated to release on August 1, 2014. It follows Iron Man 3 (May 3, 2013), Thor: The Dark World (November 8, 2013), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (April 4, 2014) making it the last of the individual properties before leading in to The Avengers 2 (May 1, 2015).
