    With Breaking Bad coming to an end the next project for Vince Gilligan (who will be involved but won't run it) will be a prequel spin-off with Bob Odenkirk's Saul Goodman character.   • Breaking Bad Sets Return Date for Final Run

    AMC has announced the date in which Breaking Bad will begin airing the back half of its fifth and final season. The premiere will happen on Sunday, August 11 beginning an uninterrupted eight week stretch that will bring the highly-acclaimed series to a close. The network also announced it will debut Talking Bad, which will air after each one of the episodes.     With Breaking Bad coming to an end - the final eight episodes will air this summer - creator Vince Gilligan is looking towards the future and that may hold a spinoff featuring the Saul Goodman character played by Bob Odenkirk.     When Breaking Bad was renewed for a fifth and final season it received a 16 episode order meaning its network (AMC) planned for either one extra long season or to break it into two separate runs. The answer has now come along with a premiere date. The new season of Breaking Bad will begin on Sunday July 15 marking the start of the first half of the season.
