MM08

EA has sent me complete lists of the top rated players in March Madness 08 broken down by position as well as the top freshman. These lists include not only the overall rating but also the ratings in 20 individual categories.

Because these include all the ratings for the players and not just the overalls I’ve made them available in Microsoft Excel form. Download them directly from the links below.

Top 25 Overall Players

Top 20 Point Guards

Top 20 Shooting Guards

Top 20 Small Forwards

Top 20 Power Forwards/Centers

Top 20 Freshman

These are some pathetic ratings that EA dished out. How is Chris Lofton from Tennessee not at least top 3 in SG. And his 3pt shooting is only 80 he is one of the best shooters in the country.

Drew Neitzel for Mich. State is an 83? I know I haven’t seen his shooting ratings but he plays every minute, never gets hurt, shoots three’s and free throws at a ridiculously high percentage. At minimum, a 92.

I also agree with the previous post about Lofton’s rating. He is a pre-season All-American. 80 is a tad low.

Padre, I love your website but please stop posting NCAA Basketball games; they always turn out horrible.

^Yeah, the player graphics always look like the created players in NBA 2k7 (generic) but college basketball is exciting and people will still buy the games.

Where is Alabama’s PF Richard Hendrix? He is 1st team all SEC and not even mentioned as one of the top PF/C? This is pathetic EA.

How is Darren Collison (UCLA) only 19th for point guards when he is a preseason All-American. Does EA even pay attention to college basketball.

Donte Green, he’s a power foward #5 on Syracuse can shoot 3 pointers, he’s NOT an inside player. Yet all his ratings have him as an inside guy, he’s more of a Dirk Notwitzki type. He’s probably gonna declare for the draft but he doesn’t play like it in the game.

Jonny Flynn is also the fastest guy on our team and ur missing our starting center Arinze Onuaku but you have the fat white guy who never plays and 2 walk-ons on the roster. Step it up EA.
