I am working on putting together some questions for a March Madness 08 producer interview coming up which I plan on sending in tomorrow. With so much having already been discussed about the game and having a demo already out I’d like to hear what remains unanswered within the community about the game or anything that may have arisen based on the demo. (Thanks to those who have made suggestions. The list for March Madness has been sent in)
I should also have the opportunity to get some questions answered by the team working on NFL Tour in the near future. While there are a few previews out, some screenshots, and a couple short videos out the overall coverage has been relatively thin with less than seven weeks until release.
I’m looking for any specific questions or suggestions of topics to address to go along with what I have already gathered up. Feel free to leave them in the comments or send them to me via the contact form.

When will we get the ability to play any game within Dynasty mode like you can in NCAA 08?
November 21, 2007 at 6:35 pm
Does every team have updated jerseys? More specifically Does cuse have their new ones? Because in all the screenshots they have their old ones. Also does Villanova have their new Jerseys?

Will there be fake inserted names for the players in the dynasty mode in MM08 and can you edit them yourself
?

Pasta, why dont you cover 2K games more often….I mean CHOOPS 2k8, with my boy Greg Oden on the cover, came out yesterday and you haven’t said a word about the release. Are you an EA fanboy. I can’t stand EA cause they messed up my rating in NBA Live.

I’m looking forward to writing up some things on CH 2K8 but my copy has yet to arrive. I’m specifically excited about 6th Man and the 2K Share. But until I can try them out there isn’t much to say. Until then check out these recent posts in case you missed them:

Lol yah they made it way too high. I play with Mike Conley and Memphis on Live and trust me they made him MUCH better in the game than he is IRL

What kind of player creation/editing options will we have in NFL Tour?
November 22, 2007 at 9:44 am
Haha, that was not me by the way (Mr. Conley). Still confused why you can post these things, without owning the games? Isn’t there are a new bylaw that you need to have the game to post something about it? Just to say, hey I mentioned MM08 demo was out and now look, CH2K8 also has a demo. Or hey, CH2K8 released today.
I am going to speak out a bit about “EA Community Leaders, sites like this and pretty much everyone who covers games.”
Could one of you grow a sac and then fill that sac with a couple balls? The EA Community leader thing is the greatest screw job in the history of business. Get people to pimp your games, for free. Oh sure you might get a copy of some games but that is $1.00 out of EA’s pocket. Next they use you people like a prostitute in their forums. Make you deal with all the angry customers, without any ammo to deal with the questions. Now mind you some like being a whore (EATim) in the TW08 forums, where he can have a minuscule amount of power, hiding posts and threads he finds not worthy, as if he was anointed the virtual Easter Bunny for Electronic Arts.
I always thought you were a ” sports-gamer” from previous experience but the more I read the less that pops in my head. When was the last time you mentioned anything about the patch, alternate unis, etc? Why are you and others not all over EA for these issues, keeping up the pressure and keeping their customers updated (since EA can’t do that on it’s own)?
See the problem with “EA Community Leaders, gaming sites like IGN, etc and of course the Operation Sports, 5WG’s, etc of the world is that you fear asking any real questions or asking for answers until one is given. Living in fear you might upset one of your contacts or buddies at EA. Thus, putting you in the dark about upcoming news, interviews, etc. You throw away the greater good for that? Call me silly but I prefer to sell my soul for just a wee bit more. Oh you guys make the occasional patch post or what is EA thinking but spread them out enough that EA is fine with it.
Here are some good questions to ask, just in case someone feels some pebbles forming.
Why are we paying $59.99 for a game like TW08 that is broken, in numerous areas, right out of the box. A game that does not have any enhancements to existing courses (making them look PS2ish in comparison to the new courses). Net code that makes small children cry.
Why exactly are 360 owners of NCAA08 left without a patch while the PS3 version has one? How is you can (eventually patch) Madden 08 on the 360? You can’t tell me that the code is that different between NCAA and Madden.
It’s late November and my backs in Madden are still fumbling the ball, I coach them well but they still fumble. So any idea on when the patch will be released so I can start a Franchise that wont go kaput due to fumbling or Free Agent issues? Oh and it is MID-NOVEMBER.
Alternate Unis for NCAA08? Taking a year off?
How is it exactly that Halo can handle millions of unique IP’s at the same time, yet EA Servers can’t handle the load of their combined games with still a far far far lower amount of traffic? To the point you had to take the site down. You should have a pretty good idea as to how many copies that go out and the % of users who will take the game online.

They had the balls to reply with.
The hosting site that allows you to actually the facilitate this option “EASPORTSWorld.com” has been experiencing heavy traffic due to an overwhelming response to our Photo Game Face feature in conjunction with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. The feature’s demand has exceeded our server capacity.

Just a few of what would be too many questions to list.
Hey, Tiburon. The next generation called and would like you to show the heck up, the money we are paying has. NOTE: They are the dev of TW08 for next gen systems. Pretty much striking out this whole generation. Yet, EA Canada has been able to produce a few descent games (namely Fifa and NHL 08). * It only took 4-5 Fifa’s to get one that was good, I am sure their mommas are proud.
End-O-Rant
Happy Turkey Day (Unless you are a turkey)
I give thanks for the day that somebody calls EA out for the crap they are pulling, instead of giving them a pulpit. (see your Rev. Peter Moore article/interview – I forget which, fluff pieces rarely do that to me.)
Please excuse typos, poor sentence structure, etc… It is a holiday and I did not feel like proofing my work. If anything it is kinda fitting, in regards to Quality Assurance we get from EA and the crux of my post.

That was the biggest bullshit post I’ve seen in a while, there. You should be thanking Pasta that he isn’t posting a review or other opinions on a game that he hasn’t played.
Anyway, another question about NFL Tour: will we see bigger playbooks. My biggest problem with the Street series was that the playbooks were too small. You would think that with pick-up style football, you would have endless possibilities with play design. On that note, a create a play (”Draw it in the Dirt” Mode?)would be perfect for this kind of game.

BDISME:
I’m not sure how long you’ve been following my site, but for some perspective read up on my coverage of the online play for Madden and NCAA and the EA Sports World issues including for Tiger Woods.
I’m not an investigative reporter and it isn’t my job to call out any company on a particular issue. It is basically a hobby and any influence I have I would try to put to good use though. When something important comes up I go through the proper channels of communication. Such as with the patch. No one wants it out as badly as EA does but the process is lengthy and complicated. I’ve been discussing issues like that with contacts since prior to release but the idea that posting a article that bashes them would motivate them to do something or do it quicker is absurd.
The community leader program is something that EA does but really doesn’t have to do. Its competitors don’t reach out to the community or keep the same level of communication. And that is something that should be appreciated. I try to update with any news as much as possible. But something like the patch has no specific date for release, it is reliant on several factors. Since even they don’t have a date I’m not sure how the community program could be at fault for that.
When there is a subject I am passionate about that (such as online play) I’ll definitely do what I can though to write about the frustration caused. I’m not “in fear” of anything, I post about what I want, I just prefer to do so in a productive manner or communicate behind the scenes. I dropped some links below to the coverage I had so you can check them out.

You can drop links till the cows come home (again you complain about it a little and it gets forgotten). You and other sites fail to ask the tough questions and get answers to them. It’s like watching It has nothing to do with bashing anything. Here in the real world if your cheeseburger comes without cheese you are darn well going to complain about it’s absence. If you have to wait 3 months to get that cheese you are going to take it to a higher level of complaint.
If by “productive means of communication” you are instigating that still waiting on a fix, in late November, for a game released in August (or July in NCAA’s case) is a positive thing due to this use of tact? Or the lack of alternate unis? Well in my book that is just not quite cutting it.
Someone could have asked the big man at EA Sports of these issues, which existed at the time of interview. Instead we get stuff like this (link below). Do you think this is what the consumer who buys their product wants to hear? I think many want to hear what he is doing to make a better product out of the box and what they are doing to fix existing products. He just prattles on about how we are going to do this, this and this – without actually saying anything. Someone needs to hold his hand to the fire, the guys is making a pretty penny as the head guy at EA, let’s make him earn it.

Rough start for Easportsworld.com? Yeah Peter that would be a bit of an understatement.
Plenty of devs discuss with customers, be it on their message board or boards related They just prefer to do it themselves and eliminate “community leaders.”
Sorry just not buying what you are selling. Sure it is your hobby and people like yourself are helping to ruin it by sucking on the tit that is EA.

Edit on first paragraph
It’s like watching It has nothing to do with bashing anything.
I meant…
It has nothing to do with bashing anything.
Oh and they should eliminate community leaders altogether and reply to peoples questions on their own message board. With actual EA employees whose job it is to monitor it. It is a nifty concept, supporting you product and such.
That also goes for 2ksports…
