Yet another set of March Madness 08 videos

For the final set of March Madness videos I wanted to show a few different things. The first one is Georgetown @ Ohio State on all default settings. The second is Kansas State @ Clemson with the difficulty moved up to All-Conference. The third is Arizona State @ Arizona with the difficulty on All-Conference and the game speed bumped up to about 65%.

Personally I thought the ASU vs Arizona game turned out the best. It just felt a lot more natural. The increased game speed doesn’t seem to take away from the concentration on the post game, so I’m not sure why EA decided it was necessary to set the default so low.

The game still looks somewhat unresponsive to me. Like someone else said, it looks like the ballhandler runs especially so in the middle third of the court. After that, as you pass it, it looks like there’s a split-section hitch before the player can move.

The post game does look great – but it almost makes the game itself a mini-game. Oh, and Dick Vitale is even more annoying in-game than he is in real life – quite a feat!

there was mention of that made in an early preview, but it was never stated again anywhere. I’m assuming if the PS3 version was 60fps that would’ve been cleared up along the way though.

pastapadre would you be kind enough to check whether or not there is a global editor like there was in nba live 08?

The one where you can change all the players speeds by doing one universal number etc.?

I didn’t see anything like that, although I wasn’t really looking for it either.

all I’ve seen from centers so far are power dunks. You can see those in the vids after a spin move when they have a clear path to the hoop. I don’t know if thats always the case, but those are the only type ive seen them do.

I’m a noob and have a couple of questions:

    1. Which game makes it easier to get real names, CH2kS or MM08? About how long will it take for real names to come out for MM08

    2. Traditionally, which series has had the better legacy mode? More realistic gameplay? Better graphics?

    Thanks in advance.

To answer your first question.. Choops is the easiest and there are pletty of them on 2kshare. With EAlocker someone has to be in your friendlist to get there rosters, good luck with that.

Ill answer your 2nd in order.. Both have great legacy modes so I dunno which one id go with. Choops has the more realistic gameplay. Obviously EA sports is gonna have the better graphics thats there main focus.

I have played Choops2k8 and Im loving it everytime I play it. I havent played mm08 but from the videos Ive seen on it Im not that impressed with it but Im gonna rent it. U should rent both and see which one fits your style.
