Over the last few months there has been speculation that the Wii would be getting its own version of NCAA Football with the 09 releases. Along with Fight Night it seemed to be a natural fit as the next franchise from EA Sports to transfer over.
It appears that Gamestop/EB has at least semi-confirmed that NCAA Football 09 will be released on the Wii. It is now available for pre-order with a tentative price of $49.99 and release date of July 15th. Generally this information isn’t updated unless they have specific information to go on.
Running the option with the Wiimote sure has the potential to be a lot fun.
Update: The page for the Wii version has since been removed. But the cat seems to be out of the bag on this one. We’ll wait for an official announcement to come in the near future.

I see Fight Night doing well on the Wii, just toss in little Mac and all the n-Fans will be frothing at the mouth. I also see this being the lone NCAA title on the Wii, as they have a hard time selling Madden on it.

Sweet I was hoping it would be for the wii. I used to have an XBox until the ncaa and madden games stopped being made for XBoxes. Very cool, I’m excited to have more football games for the next few years!
