Gamestop/EB has added Facebreaker into their system and listed it with a tentative release date of November 4th. While this may not end up being the final date it does give an indication of about when to expect it.

The initial expectation was that Facebreaker would be out in the fall and this lands in the most open spot based on the several other EA Sports games which come out in those months. That would place it between early October titles such as NBA Live and FIFA and a likely mid-late November release of March Madness. So looking at the calendar the most likely possibilities appear to be 10/21, 10/28, 11/4, or an early December date. This also is a sign that Fight Night Round 4 wont be out until sometime next year.

  • FNR4 is shaping up to be a 2009 release. I think the earliest possible it'll be out is spring, but its too early to really know.
also FNR4 was:
Game: Fight Night Round 3 (X360)
    Release Date: Feb 20, 2006

    that's 2 years ago man...they won't make it 3
Or another way to look at it is they are releasing Facebreaker to hold people over and pushing back FNR 4.

in a boxing forum there was a posted interview w/ an EA rep who said he guessed the game would be out 'within a year'
the interview was late feb of '07, so I doubt it would miss '08 entirely

Well, you could buy this game.....or just pick up a dreamcast and Ready to Rumble for probably less than the price of this game at release......or play R2R on PS2.....or better yet, download Punch Out if you own a Wii.

Bottom line: Get your current crop of games polished and playing like champs before you start throwing out all these new franchises destined to fail(for further evidence look no further than NFL Tour).
