Man its about time they changed Boise States playbook to better reflect the real thing. I checked some of the other teams I am somewhat familiar with (mean Green with the Todd Dodge scheme) and it looks pretty close. Nice stuff.

As usual EA just copy and pastes USF’s playbook even though they don’t use half of these formations. They have a goal line set that they used at least 50% of the time they were inside the ten yd line where they have 3 rb’s and no fb and of course its not in there

Isn’t almost time for you 12 year old kids to go back to school? You guys need to seriously give it a rest with that 1st crap. Pasta already said he’s going to start deleting people from the site who keep doing that. This isn’t a site for people to argue back and forth on who’s 1st. I’m sure Sesame Street is on for you to watch instead of you playing around on mommy & daddy’s computer.

I love using Navy in Ncaa 2008… Keahaku (QB), Ballard (FB), and Cambell (slot back), all in the back field running that triple option offense is so much fun…

I will play anyone with Navy…it’s just a fun offense to play with. I don’t need to spread it out on you to win…just some good old fasion veer option football. So if anyone ever wants to play online..my gamer tag is HurricaneCy

It will be awesome playing against schools 3 or 4 seasons in that have lots of QB rushing plays built in to their playbooks, but now have a guy who is slow as a turtle at QB, yet will still continue to try and run him around the end.

Pasta, i just thought of a good question. So I know you can import NCAA Rosters into your Franchise on Madden, but can you import them to Head Coach for the draft? It is kinda off-topic, but oh well

Nope. They decided rather than do that they would create thousands upon thousands of unique players that will enter drafts all with their own backgrounds, potential of being a bust or diamond in the rough, having audio recorded about them, ect.

The defensive playbooks are in the middle with the name “NCAA (defensive formation)”. Try and search for NCAA 4-3 for an example.

Yo twista nutz, if you havent figured this out already what you have to do is right click the playbook and “save target as” save it to adobe reader and it should start to load automatically.

And blonde viking, for finding split backs i would try new mexico state, and (or) wake forest, in 08 the had at least three in their respective playbooks each. As for an entire playbook built entirely around split backs, i don’t think there is one.

As an Oregon fan I have to say I’m satisfied… I think. I like the amount of detail to the spread formations they run. Granted, it’s not possible to put in every thing they use, but most of the important concepts seem to be there. If I had any complaints, I guess they would be the lack of trick plays (again) and the absence of a lot of motion. Spread option offenses use a lot of it, and that doesn’t seem to be represented too well.. just a few here and there, and nothing particularly complex. Still, it’s a good start, and they keep building it closer to authenticity each year. Thanks for these fantastic updates Pasta.
