Pastapadre NFL Pick’em

With the NFL season fast approaching it was time for me to set up the annual pickem. This is something I always enjoy especially since I’ve won two out of the last four years. The competition should be stronger though with an even larger group involved.
This will be a straight pick’em and not factor in the spread. The low week for each person will not be dropped so it is important that you get your picks in every week. Missing one would potentially eliminate you from contention.

Off-topic but I was wondering if you are planning any coverage on Tiger Woods 09? I am interested in picking this up, but was hoping to get some impressions beforehand.

Yeah I’ve been reading good reviews, I don’t have a copy yet though. I’m looking forward especially to the new style of online play.

Yeah…thats what I’m most interested in hearing about.
I forget the specific name they are using for the feature, but its the one that allows for online players to play each hole and each shot simultaneously without having to watch each player take their shot. That was my biggest gripe in past TW’s. Online matches just took too long…

There may be. It’s a long ways away though, I’ll probably give something out to the winner like a gift card but nothing major. Mostly just doing this for fun and a challenge to keep up on week to week.

lowest 2-3 should be dropped
so after 17 weeks thats 24-31 people ousted we already have 49 signed up…..or if we were gonna boot people why not make a game of ELIMINATION where if they pick wrong they are out anyways

Why would we want to drop the lowest people out of the group? If they’re not in contention I’m not sure why it would change things if they were still there.

by the way pasta, looks like the PS3 NHL 09 demo is out– I can confirm its out in the UK store but I do not know if its out on the North American store or not yet.

if anyone has encountered the friendly quit disconnect glitch i figured out how to counter it. all you have to do is change camera angle and repeatedly pause the game at the end. it worked for me
