EA Sports has revealed the Top 25 rated teams in NCAA Basketball 09. Leading the way this year is North Carolina. The winner of the National Championship last year Kansas comes in at #17. I’m especially encouraged to see Washington slip in at #25. The way things are going for teams in Washington State though will I’m fully expecting a terrible season ahead.

Yo what the hell? Where is Westchester Community College. Kids are straight ballers
October 14, 2008 at 7:32 pm
Wake Forest? You think that Wake should be ranked? I know they had a good recruiting class, but they have no claim to being a preseason top 25 team.
October 14, 2008 at 7:32 pm
UW a steady top 25 pick, they just get it done, unless stephen curry is anywhere around.
October 14, 2008 at 9:56 pm
All I want is someone to put up a video of Allan Houston from Live 09 up..
as well as the NBA games sales figures, as well as Facebreakers.
October 14, 2008 at 10:15 pm
High spot for Louisville for us losing our two centers, David Padgett and Character.
I would have expected us to be may be 8 or 9 given that it will take a while to break in the #1 center in the nation.
News didn’t get much better today with T’Will going down for 6 weeks.
I fully expect Louisville to not look like a Top10 team early missing T’Will and breaking in a freshman center, but by the end of the year they could be the best team in the country.
October 14, 2008 at 11:53 pm
Actually, Harvard had one of the best recruiting classes this past year, thanks to a Mr. Amaker at the helm. So whoever mentioned Harvard, well, you might see them do something special sooner or later.
As for smaller schools, no love for Davidson?

20. ‘Cuse
This might be our year!
October 15, 2008 at 6:31 am
Cuse is healthy after missing Devo for most of the year and Rautins for all.Not to mention they were missing two other scholarship players all year.So we had no depth and had are freshman all game so that got them some great experience.Cuse will be back this year and go to at least the E8.
October 15, 2008 at 6:33 am
and our freshman played all game*

October 15, 2008 at 8:30 am
yeah, go UW and Gonzaga!
October 15, 2008 at 8:46 am
Well it looks like they will have Oklahoma State underrated just like in NCAA09. Coach Ford will just have to take his McDonald’s All Americans on the road to beat that overrated Notre Dame team….
October 15, 2008 at 9:02 am
I cant wait for this game. Next year for 2010 I want online dynasties.
October 15, 2008 at 9:27 am
I love seeing ND up at number 3. This could be the season where we get back to the Sweet 16 and maybe even a little bit further.
October 15, 2008 at 9:37 am
With 7 Big East Conference teams ranked in the Top 25 in this season’s game, it looks like the Big East Conference, one of my favorite conferences in college basketball, will be stronger this season. The team I’m looking out for is the Syracuse Orange. But don’t get too overreacted, b/c the suprising team in the Big East should be the Pitt Panthers.
October 15, 2008 at 10:26 am
Syracuse is going to be much improved this year. Johnny Flynn could be the best PG in America by the end of the year. Paul Harris was much improved last year, will be even better this year. Eric Devendorf and Andy Rautins back from injury. Arinze Onauku is a beast at the 5. Watch out America. Keep your eye out for Mookie Jones, Frosh, has a chance to be special. Even the ahole’s that run the NCAA Selection process won’t keep them out of the tourny this year.
October 15, 2008 at 10:38 am
Yeah that snub two years ago still makes me mad and then of course last year the injuries just killed this team. But I have a feeling this team will be special and I have heard good things about Mookie Jones.
October 15, 2008 at 11:04 am
where’s penn state is all i want to know
October 15, 2008 at 1:49 pm
…yeah I heard good stuff too bout the ‘Mook too. Flynn & Devo should kill it!
October 15, 2008 at 3:33 pm
I agree with jose canseco at the top, I do not think West Virginia is a top 10 school nor a top 15 school but I do think they are worthy of a top 20 spot somewhere in there, heck maybe even the top 15 who knows.
October 15, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Notre Dame is number three but still not projected to win the big east. wow Lil hansborough time Jackson, McAlarney, and Harangody, All Big East thats why were top 5 plus we got peoples, Ayers, Zeller and Hillsland BEAST
October 16, 2008 at 5:48 am

October 16, 2008 at 8:14 pm
wow i love ND my cousins go there i am gonna go there but the irish at 3 is such bowl in my mind they should be 8 not 3 these polls overall are just messed up
October 18, 2008 at 10:49 am
what my auburn tigers arent in there
October 19, 2008 at 8:45 am
Badgerboy21, Dont worry Chris Kramer will do what Michael Flowers could not do: Stop Stephone Curry. Purdue at 12 is way too low. But thats just how we like it. ND at 3 is a joke. Usually you have to play a little defense to be a top 5 team, unless EA Sports is making the poll.
October 20, 2008 at 6:22 pm
Where the “F” is The University Of Kentucky?? The end of the world is upon us if the #1 college program in the history of college basketball is not in the top 25!!!
November 3, 2008 at 7:22 pm
