NCAA Basketball 09 Demo Now Available

The demo for NCAA Basketball 09 is out now for the Xbox 360 and will be this afternoon (usually around 3pm PT) on the PS3. Coming in at 875.89 MB it features two four different teams that can be used in any combination. Kentucky, Tennessee, 1979 Michigan State, and 1982 North Carolina.

In a pleasant surprise the demo lets you choose from six different camera angles, four different difficulty levels, and is a full 8 minutes half. If there has been one really frustrating thing about sports game demos it is how many have had multiple short quarters which doesn’t provide an opportunity to get into any sort of flow. Thankfully that isn’t the case here and should allow for the tempo feature to actually come into play.

Leave your thoughts on the demo in the comments. I’ll have some impressions and videos up tonight.

i guess i’ll stick to playing FPS cause both companies dropped the ball on their bball games this year. live online is a horrible cheese fest,2k i can’t even get a game, and this demo was terrible, was that suppose to be next gen?

funny when a person say they don’t like a EA game they a 2k fan boy this game is not good EA basketball downfall is realistic animations. If u don’t have that u don’t have a good basketball game plain and simple.Im not going to get on the crowd cuz from the duke video post that was on here the crowd was no where realistic.Average basketball game at best They need to step there game up big time. Also College hoops 2k8 was like playing nba 2k7 and was a step behind and not that great neither. It’s been a while since a great NCCABB game been out.

Wow, I didn’t believe what everyone was saying. Yes, this game sucks. Or at least the demo sucks. It’s worse than Live. NBA 2k9 rules all. Hands down.

You guys are ridiculous. This game is no where near as bad as some of you are saying. I am not a big gamer, casual at best. I played the demo 3 times so far and have been impressed. I was a big fan of the 2K8 game but who wasn’t. My honest opinion is that this game is worth the money. I had a great time playing it, the controls were good, animations were great, tempo worked perfect, and the coaches tips were helpful, they were actually useful, reminding you to keep the tempo, pick it up or concentrate on your defense, etc. This game will do fine!!!!!! I am buying it.

I really tried to give myself a reason to like this game but after playing the demo a few times I just couldn’t. I’m sorry but this game is straight gaabage. I’m somewhat surprised that EA would release this knowing that they have the only college bball game this year. They would’ve been better off taking another year to get the game right. The game has some good ideas but as usual with EA the gameplay is still sorely lacking.
