NCAA Basketball 09 Demo Videos

Having resolved the audio problems while recording I wanted to post up a couple videos from the demo. Kentucky is a half-court team, Tennessee up-tempo, and the two classic teams are balanced. The teams playing to their tempo should be evident through the videos. Make sure to check out my impressions as well as read through the comments on the last couple articles for more thoughts on the NCAA Basketball 09 demo from the community.

The first is Kentucky @ Tennessee followed by 79 Michigan State @ 82 North Carolina. Both were played using the broadcast camera and on All-Conference difficulty controlling the home teams.

the problem with the demo is that it seems like kentucky avoids taking quick shots to play to their tempo, even if they could get a layup or the dunk out of it

Horrible commentary…Kentucky plays WAY to slow.

and at the 6:02, why was the Vols crowd doing the “OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” chant when their team had the ball. You dont do that when your team is on offense.

EA phails yet again…. tisk tisk tisk

Check the producer’s comments about NCAA 09. Some good information. Hopefully they will read forums in regards to responses on the demo. I will give this game a look but hopefully EA addresses the lockdown animations (hate getting sucked into the ball handler while on defense) and the animations that force players out of bounds and on half-court infractions….

I agree game is way to slow, and why do I have to hear that stupid music after every dead ball or when I score? Are we going to be able to have the rosters once the game ships?? This game is ok but needs some work. I know this is probably the final build though.

I don’t know if any of you have noticed but Gamerosters (aka Brian “the douche” Kaldenberg) is at it again…..with his infamous selling of rosters this time for NCAA Basketball 09 (he says “this time we will have over 300 teams with player names) lol He’s back

Not surprising he’ll continue to leech off unsuspecting people.
