Just as they did last year EA Sports is offering free downloadable content for NBA Live 09 in celebration of All-Star Weekend. The NBA All Star Weekend 09 Pack is now available on XBL. Last year the DLC only came to the 360 and I am waiting on a response back on whether the PS3 will be receiving it this year. Update: The PS3 will get the DLC next Thursday.
The download includes the official East and West jerseys and All Star Game court. With a roster update coming tomorrow the All Star team rosters, Rookie and Sophomore team rosters, 3PT Shootout rosters, and Slam Dunk rosters will all be made accurate for this year. Continue on for a few screenshots I took of them.

I may get this game very soon.

Why doesn't madden do something like this? My word. I spent a good two hours the other night creating the AFC and NFC pro bowl teams, (and recreating their uniforms was a mess) and getting the right players on the right teams ended up being a down-right headache because of the roster rules that Madden puts in place. It'd be sweet if Madden sent out DLC like this for the pro bowl. Shucks, madden 09 lets you "play now" in the pro bowl stadium, yet doesn't have the pro bowl teams available to play with! Not to mention that the only way to play in Raymond James Stadium outfitted in XLIII colors is to actually make it there in franchise mode. Hey NBA Live producers… tell your co-workers over on the Madden project to get on it!

this is sick too bad those uniforms arent much to look at lol

February 6, 2009 at 12:53 am
where is the first feature for ncaa 10?
February 5, 2009 at 9:26 pm
im in the same situation as you man, i got both games, and i can't stand 2k fanboys, but same goes for live fanboys, i judge them equally while others just go off of past games etc.
February 5, 2009 at 11:08 pm
So NBA Live doesnt already include all star jerseys and an all star game court when you would hit the all star game prior to the patch? I dont get it
February 6, 2009 at 12:24 am
PS3 gets the DLC next week. XBL put it up early.
February 6, 2009 at 1:20 am
Exactly – BFD. Notice how Pasta did not happen to mention that 2K had the All-Star floor in since launch, patched in the rosters the day they were announced via Living Rosters and unlocked the uniforms a couple of weeks ago? Love how EA is making hay for patching something into the game that the competition already did…

Hey Pasta, I wish this posting came up before the MLB 09 the Show Community Event (I know this is a Basketball related posting). I always hated how the players in the majority of baseball All-Star Games have to wear the same uniforms. I don't know if its even possible to do this, but it would be very cool if the baseball players in an All-Star Game wore their own uniforms during the game. Maybe you can float that suggestion to SCEA for next year's version of The Show.

lmao your kinding me right i dont care how much they sell hello your not getting none of that money u can tell you a virgin
February 6, 2009 at 10:22 am
No reports EVER on how successful 2K insider has been, weekly downloads, of player movements and ratings swings. Detailed info on his 2k insider page, and Community Feedback that he uses to debate changes. How do you go the WHOLE SEASON and NOT MENTION WHAT A GREAT JOB THAT HAS BEEN DONE, FAR BETTER THAN WHAT EA HAS TO OFFER.
What great info you give us. Notice how no one has any comments about your LIVE DLC, 2K updates the allstar rosters twice, first he predicts, then when its all star weekend he will update it again.
How come you have not sent your community to check it out. You asked us to check out FACEBREAKER, lmao, but you haven't asked anyone to go check out NBA 2K, furthermore, you continue to have online games and junk with trashy LIVE. What a fake? Don't respond. Go play LIVE or NHL 3 on 3 ! lmao
February 6, 2009 at 6:20 pm
exactly, the 2k insider thing is the greatest feature in video game history. atleast its not like live where the ratings are computer generated. 2k lets the fans interact with the game directly and comment on what they like.
February 6, 2009 at 3:43 pm
man get out of here with that crap anybody who has basketball sence would know the ratings changed by the insider are border line retarded.
February 6, 2009 at 6:38 pm
Then use 2k share and download more realistic ones. By the way College hoops 2k8 is way better then ncaa basketball 09. WAY BETTER.
February 6, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Is Ray Allen on the East Roster or Jameer Nelson?
PS: Celts got jobbed last night by those 3rd tier refs. Worst officated NBA game I have seen in a long time, both ways.
February 6, 2009 at 6:19 pm
you kidding me? that game was a thriller! both sides were equally officiated. if you ask me that was the best officiated game this season!
February 6, 2009 at 6:39 pm
Didn't Phoenix just host the All-Star game not too long ago?
February 7, 2009 at 1:28 am
last time Phoenix hosted it was in 1995, so no.
February 7, 2009 at 2:26 am
Has it been that long ago??? Wow…Anyway, I am still kind of surprised Phoenix is hosting again so soon since there are a ton of other NBA cities that haven't hosted in years…
February 7, 2009 at 5:45 am
Phoenix is hosting it again cuz it was a better candidate than other cities. It offers a renovited arena, a renovated downtown, lots of hotel rooms, lots of space to host the jam session and all that stuff.

Why are the OKC Thunder called the "Oklahoma City Oklahoma City" still?
