EA Sports is hosting a community event for Fight Night Round 4 in just a couple weeks. While I won’t be attending the site is being represented by Moz (who I go back with a ways and currently resides in the forum). The event takes place on February 23rd. Given that it is happening about 4 months prior to release of the game it is uncertain what will be open for discussion coming out of it as it may end up being more about feedback than distributing information.

Despite that I wanted to post this up and allow for everyone to drop some thoughts as to what would be desired to find out about from the event (or eventually). Feel free to leave a comment with any questions about the game or areas to look into.

Question number 1….. Will Mike Tyson be chewing on ears in the game?

I have read that robes, custom entrance music and even Tyson's towel will be in the game.

The big thing I would like to know about is the career mode. I certainly hope it is a tad more realistic this time around. I was not a fan of FNR3 career mode as it felt like you were fighting bosses at the end of each type of championship.

I hope that EA includes realistic rankings along with updated wins and losses for the AI. I hope that FNR4 also boasts an online career mode where you can take your created boxers online….

    Padre,

will this title take advantage of a 365 type feature that is so successful in keep live realistic. If so wow that would be a major plus for keeping this game fresh.

I think this would be hard to do with the legendary fighters since they no longer box, well with the exception to George Foreman…I am sure he is beating up midgets somewhere….

after you create a boxer will the announcer say the first and/or last name of the boxer or the nicknames; bam bam or the assassin like in FNR3

I agree. In Career mode I could never tell where I ranked or even when I was going to get a chance at fighting for the championship

I know that this is off topic but I found a sweet site where you can play the classic games from NES, SNES, Genesis and GameCube. The site is Console Classix. I played Mike Tyson's Punchout and it is still fun as hell. You get a free trial but if you want to subscribe it is $5 per month. It contains a solid library such as:

    Tecmo
    Super Tecmo
    Super Tecmo 2
    Madden '94 amongst other Maddens
    NHL 94
    PGA Tour Golf (Genesis)
    RBI
    Baseball Stars

    This is just a sample.

Bad idea. Boxing attributes rarely go up and down, but rather fighters lose because of styles. Styles should make fights, not so much the ratings.

    1. Are there going to be the same stun parries that we've seen in the last couple of Fight Nights?

    2. Will there be an online spectator mode?

    3. What will be the biggest compromises made in FNR4 that will be made to attract a wider audience?

Man they being way too secretive about this game. No videos, no updated screens, no nothing and UFC has all those and it comes out only one month before FNR4! WTF? Do they actually wanna sell this game or not? I smell Prizefighter all over again! Damn at least show a RINGWALK video! Something!

is the rag doll physics engine being put in this version of FN that was in the 1st FN game?
Cause I love the way you can hit someone several times on the way down. After the 1st FN you couldnt do it any more.

Will the career mode have interviews and like stuff your boxer can do like… (ex. act in movies, and have endorsment deals)? Like the superstar mode in madden that would add alot to the replay value.

God I hope not. The ragdoll physics was just an arcadey gimmick implemented by Kudo the arcade clown to over-dramatize knockdowns. They need to have REALISTIC knockdowns and knockouts in R4.
