Through an email laying out the plans for an upcoming media event EA has confirmed that both Tiger Woods 10 and their soon to be officially named tennis franchise will be utilizing the Wii Motion Plus. These are the two games that certainly seem most fitting for the 1:1 technology that will come with Motion Plus. The accessory attaches to the bottom of the Wiimote to capture a greater level of movement precision.

Even without the upgrade Tiger has been by far the most successful title for EA Sports on the Wii and the swinging worked extremely well. Knowing that it will be enhanced even more makes this year’s effort even more intriguing. It’ll be interesting to see how they do with the tennis game also. There are multiple other tennis offerings already out in the works however this will be the first one to use Motion Plus.

Pasta, any word on if Tiger could utilize the six axis ps3 controller and use it as a club in TW10? I don’t see why you couldn’t. I realize it wouldn’t be as accurate as the wii. But it would be cool all the same.

I doubt that will happen. Seems like all the developers have learned from previous attempts not to bother attempting to do anything with the Six Axis.

I doubt that will happen. Seems like all the developers have learned from previous attempts that the Six Axis is pretty much worthless and only causes headaches.

I'm curious about the new tennis game. Is it going to be just for the Wii or are there plans by EA for a next gen tennis game for the PS3/Xbox 360?

I believe it is coming to the 360/PS3 also, but the Wii version will be out before them.

Pasta, any idea when the Wii Motion Plus will be available. I don't know why I think this, but I have a feeling it's going to be one of those things that you can't get unless you preorder because they won't make enough. I'd hate to have the game and Wii Motion Plus to play it with.

I guess I'm getting flashbacks to when the original Xbox went online, and you needed an Xbox Live Kit to be online, and they were hard to find for a while. Same with the PS2 network adapter.

Oh yeah. Knowing how the Nintendo crowd gobbles up anything first party I'm sure this is going to be huge especially being bundled with Wii Sports Resort. No release date set yet, all I can find is them referencing Spring 2009 when they announced it last year.

I can't wait to play Tiger Woods 10 Wii. It should be even better then the last version.

I get tired of Nintendo nickle and diming everyone on accessories. These things will probably be $20 when sold seperately, so add another $80 to the Wii for a complete console. You know, for being the cheapest console, the Wii ends up being pretty expensive if you want 4 controllers.
