Before I get into more detailed discussions on MLB 09 The Show I decided to create a few more videos and a handful of screenshots. This is a lengthy process as the 6-10 minute videos take about two hours to upload and about as long to process and become HD. After this posting I will continue to include some videos but they will be more focused on a related topic.
General impressions, an online play report (not good at all so far), and a “mini-review” will start to come tomorrow and throughout the week. Continue on for the latest videos and screenshots.

Thanks for the info. When I play a baseball game, I like minimal meters, displays, etc. so that it feels more like you're watching a game. When I heard that you couldn't shut off the flash of light on 2k9 when the ball crosses the plate, I hoped it wasn't true of the show as well. Is it just me or is anyone else the same way? Again, appreciate the info SLAB, thanks!

I'd give it a few days before bashing the online play….I remember last year how bad online was and how it was fixed in the first couple weeks. I play 08 just fine now online with a wired connection. Seems like a quick fix and the game hasn't even been released yet.

I could never get a solid connection, even after a couple months last year. I gave up, as it was too frustrating. In a game of timing like baseball, you need to have lagless play for it to be fun. We did not have that last year, so I'm going to wait a few weeks, then rent this year.

Henry, you can change the entrance music for any reliever coming out of the pen and for any players walkup music and homerun celebration music. You can also record your own cheers and jeers as well

Wow take it easy… youre making us show fans look dumb. Just because its not the show doesnt mean its garbage. You know some people LIKE the show and just because you dont doesnt mean those people dont know what there talking about, its about what game you PREFER (if you have a ps3)…

Cut scenes like you have mentioned are changed all the time to give a different perspective on the action. I am sure that there a plenty of cut scenes that weren't in the game before that are in now. Stop asking stupid freaking questions that no one can answer and stop the petty complaints over trivial things that have zero impact on the game. If your going to be that hyper critical over every sports game then you will be disappointed every year.
Don't be a tool and learn to appreciate what goes into these games each year, or perhaps you can study the trade and fix the damn game yourself. Hows that nimrod.

If ur a fan of mlb the show series than imo ur not gonna b disappointed. i had the game since friday and really have no complains. if ur a online junky like me than u gonna have to expect what comes with it, which is a suspect server at times. i played ten games online n had the server go down once. which isn't a big thing for me, yeah i got the loss but as the season goes on it will even it self out so IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL. for example there won't b nobody on here complain if the server goes down during a gm in which ur losing( but u neva know most ppl complain b tha cheaters n 1st inning quitter anyway). in closing on this subject i'm ok wit tha gm n tha few changes it made. just for the record imo that 2k gm is tha worst. as fast i downloaded it, i deleted it last thursday. more power 2 all of u that have the patience 4 that gm i holla.

Jumbotron is huge at Yankees house,it rivals dat of Atlantas.Im not sure which is bigger but when dat jumbotron went off telling fans to stand up while im facing mariano in ninth down one was distracting yet amazing but Show09 grabs dat moment n really makes it happen!

Online Play. No one has talked about it. What's going on with it? Is there lag like last seasons? I understand offline the game is great, and that is fine. I understand it looks pretty, which will appease a lot of people. However, what people are failing to take into consideration is the amount of significance that Online play (leagues, season, franchise, etc) matters for a lot of gamers, myself included.
Can someone who has the game, who has played online elaborate? Is there lag when the pitch is thrown? That really screwed with timing last season, to the point where it was almost not playable which is a real bummer. Playing artificial AI gets old after a while.

Has anyone had any trouble loading the roster update? I've gone to SportsConnect and downloaded the roster update that Sony put out and downloaded two rosters updates that other users placed online. Whenever I load them, the roster updates don't show up when I go in and look at the rosters. I had no problem with downloading and loading the rosters in MLB The Show 08.
