The latest Inside EA Blog posting for NCAA Football 10 discusses the addition of custom conferences in dynasty mode. This applies both to offline dynasties as well as online ones. You can read all about it and see additional screenshots here.

However, sometimes it’s not that easy, sometimes it can be next to impossible to find a conference with the right mix of teams to make everyone happy. Well in NCAA Football 10 we have made life easier on commissioners across the nation with the addition of Custom Conferences. Now you will be able to swap any school in or out of your conference and replace them with another FBS school. Each conference will keep their current number of members, so if you feel it’s about time that Notre Dame joins the Big Ten you’ve got to decide which school will become an Independent. Since there are 120 FBS schools in real life, you will need to keep 120 FBS schools in your dynasty. While Michigan fans won’t be able to prevent Ohio State from ever playing football again, they can take pride in relegating them to the MAC.

Hopefully this is just the start of the improvements that have been made with additional options being added to dynasty mode. For as great as 09’s Online Dynasty mode tured out there are numerous still numerous ways EA could improve and expand on it.

Pasta why is EA adding so much useless stuff to the new NCAA games. I want the composure rating back for the other team so I can see who's rattled. I just don't want to see my teams level I also want to be able to pull up there's also. What other new features have you heard that's going to be in it and do you think they will add the features from NCAA 05-06 to the 360 and PS3 versions.

Agree with Dre on this one about the useless stuff. However, i could see how this can be a significant upgrade with franchise/dynasty players…..as I am not one of them. I've yet to read any new gameplay improvements similar to what madden 10 has been doing……even though some of them are passing along to the NCAA version.

Just another case of a game company adding a last-gen feature to a current-gen game and highlighting it as something new and exciting…

I hope EA fixes the conference issues in dynasty mode where schools like Nebraska don't get booted out of its conference. I like the ability to customize at will but I feel realism is ruined when by the third year of your dynasty, I see The "U" in the MAC…That is NOT a good deal….

I would rather see this option in online leagues. Nothing is more bothersome than when people in a league pick their favorite teams from different conferences and they have to play their respective conference schedule.

I would rather have customized schedules for online dynasty.

Say what? I have never seen any post season movements on CPU controlled teams to different conferences. If there was to be a move I allways thought the CPU should at least get your OK on it at first. In your example I would say NOOO WAYY. thats stupid!

Another clue that FCS teams still won't be included in NCAA 10. What a rip… This was the first year I didn't buy an MLB game (I would have if I owned a PS3 I suppose) and it might be the first year I don't buy NCAA. So far the "improvements" really don't make a game that much more worth owning to me…

I know right. This feature is old. I remember when EA was acting like Mascot play was new in NCAA Football '08. Man, that was old too. I been having that feature since NCAA Football '04. They try to make like the feature just started are something.

I wonder if the logos on field and jerseys will change when you change their conference. I hated it in the the 09 franchise mode when you'd switch conferences and still have the old logos on the there. Playing for conference championships with the wrong conference logo on the field was annoying.

I agree what JHeb is saying, you don't like the game addons don't buy it, but please stop bitching. Plus this might mean that we might have create a team feature, if they have the custom conferences.

Why is this considered noteworthy? This is simply a feature that was in the PS2/Xbox versions that was removed during the transition to next gen. Same goes for the individual bowl endzone art that they highlighted a few weeks back.

So basically, EA is adding everything that used to be in the game to the 360/PS3 versions, and acting like it's some kind of groundbreaking new feature?

Can't wait to hear the excuse as to why bowl patches and relevant pride stickers aren't included this year. Ohh wait, that will be saved for NCAA 11.

I want to be able to watch other guys in my online dynasty play their games, like an online spectator mode. I know this is in a few other games, usually just racing though. That's what I'd love to see, the ability to scout a human opponent for a head-to-head that's coming up, instead of just looking at their game stats.

I love ea sports games but u are bias. I play PS2 when i am at the family house and they had all of these features on a PS2. IT IS PATHETIC. they will add when lee corso chooses the team back in and say it is a new feature hahaha. ea+2k= same product of sports titles.

I do think that NCAA 09 needs DIV 2 teams (i dont care what they are called, im gonna call it DIV 2) because there are ALWAYS players from division 2 teams making a splash just like Joe Flacco. He went from a D2 school in Delaware to The AFC championship game, and having D2 teams adds more realism to the game and im sick and tired of ROUTING FCS North, South, East, and West in my dynastys, so NCAA 09 also needs to add D2 teams and make them tougher because Michigan vs. Applachain State can and will happen.

I can see where you might think it's useless, but remember the game's not coming out for a while. Right now EA is just releasing some small stuff to get our attention about the game and we'll probably be starting to find out some real info soon. Hopefully it does include them bringing back the composure rating amongst other things from the old games that would be awesome today. Although I'd be pretty surprised if they did.

This is fantastic. Some people want to play the games and do customizations. Not just sit around and figure out ways to new gameplay over and over and over. And most of us don't play online because we have real jobs and lives. So this is fantastic news and I hope they add custom teams again, too. Because we want that. Yes, WE as the majority…
