The round of 32 begins today and for the featured game I’ve selected #7 Texas vs #2 Duke. Both teams were impressive in their first round victories. The Blue Devils go into this game as a seven point favorite and the tip-off is estimated for 8:15 ET. I was going to do another highlight reel however the clip uploading to EASW hasn’t been working. Continue on to read a short recap and check out the stats.

This game had three major shifts of momentum. Texas jumped out to an early lead as big as eight however Duke recovered and outperformed the Longhorns holding a lead between four and seven points until about four minutes remained. Both teams played well down the stretch but Texas hit some clutch three pointers and AJ Abrams was tough to stop from taking it to the rack. Duke had a chance to send it to OT but Greg Paulus missed a three point attempt as time expired.

Should be a good game, both are good perimeter shooting teams. If Abrams gets going look out.

I honestly think Texas is overrated. Abrams might get going, sure, but then again if he doesn't, they can be downright bad. I think Henderson will play better than Abrams and Duke will also chip away with the 3-ball.

    Duke wins 91-78.
